My lastolite highlight has just arrived and...

... I'm a bit scared of opening it! Considering I usually get whalloped in the face when I open my reflectors, am I going to get severely beaten up when I open the hilite?!! Do they arrive folded and ready to pounce?

Maybe I'd better wait till my husband gets home!

P.S. By the way, these are fantastic pieces of kit. I used it for a series of photographs for a television show (with a graphic designer keying out the white background). Worked out perfect.

It's not the opening that's the problem, try putting it away!!

Seriously though I have the 8ft x 7ft version and it's a doddle to open but more importantly that video helps me put mine away every time.

I once dragged mine out of a clients home, stuffed it in the back of a 4x4, dragged it back out at home where the family had to surround it and beat it into submission. That was two years ago and I think it has made a bid for freedom once since then.

It's one thing for Mark Cleghorn to fold one up but when you are 5'3" you stand a very good chance of being consumed by it!

I never had a problem with mine.. i expected too as my sons pop up tent flumoxed me for weeks but worked the hilite out straightaway.

I think someone has killed the Hilite in the video. They are far more vicious than that.

At the westmidlands meet up it took about 5 grown met lying on a hilight to try and fold the damn thing up, we just couldnt get it like in the video!

Well, I'll let you know how I get on today. I'm only little so it may prove to be a challenge, but one joy of being unemployed at the moment is that I will have plenty of time to practise!

I plan to light with speedlites initially. Hope this will be okay as I can't afford any more kit at the moment.
