Just waiting for the battery to fully charge now! Off to have a quick look at the manual!

Oh wow.

My 450D took 2 hours to fully charge. Plenty of time to digest the manual and tinker with the settings!

Go forth, play and enjoy!

Look forward to seeing all the new shots after Christmas.

Interesting that on the box the '5D' and 'Mark II' are highlighted in white, but on the body the test is black. Wonder why they changed their mind :shrug:

grrr i just kept getting more and more jealous at every shot. :D

Congratz thats a nice christmas isnt it. Just got the box to my 430ex but dont even get to open it :(

That's because I used my crappy bridge camera, which after looking at the images seems to have loads of white dots on them. Will have to inverstigat that a bit further!
 
Is it wise to have the first image on a forum? You may have unwanted guests! :bonk:

just a suggestion, you might want to edit the first pic as i now know exactly where to come 'shopping' for it if i were so inclined... im not but thought i should mention it!

Now that's what i call self control,look at the polystyrene ,all nice and neat in a wee pile ,if that was me it would be all over the place :D

I agree with you there - offering various items for just forum donations the other week was very generous - says me, going back to read the CS2 book I received as a result :clap:
 
Awesome pressie, my two arrived today, very excited also, didn't even know there was post today!

Your pics highlight how sparse the front of Canon DSLRs really are, completely different design philosophy to Nikon.

I can almost feel the anticipation!!!

Looks like a nice bit of kit, enjoy it and cannot wait to see pics with it.
 
#1 you appear to have some big dust spots just over your address

#2 & #3 White balance all wrong

#4 & #5 very noisy

#6 & #7 the red carpet just doesn't go with that Canon black.

Seriously - hope you enjoy your new toy. Very jealous!
