Hey all
I use these lights in my home studio and for the past couple of years they have worked a treat. Yes they are cheap and were only going to last so long but wanted to get some advice.
During a shoot I noticed curls of smoke coming up from inside one and immediately turned it off. This was after about an hour of use and I have used the lights 2-3 times every week for the past 2 years. I have had a looksy on the internet and been told it is probably a blown capacitor, does that sound about right?
If so is it worth sending them off to be repaired by Interfit or another dealer or is it better to just replace them? I have no idea what a new capacitor or capacitors would cost for this?
They are out of warranty fyi
Cheers
