Today as the weather was good I decided to clean the hood on my car but as I was damping it down an elderly neighbour pulled up and jokingly said "do mine whilst you're at it" so without any hesitation up 4 flights of stairs Eileen went and came back with a bucket of hot soapy water and ten minutes later our neighbour had a nice clean shiney ford fiesta.......took us ten mins max with a bucket and sponge and a hose off ........ she came back to put her car away and was gobsmacked, bless her

It's a good feeling when you do an unexpected good turn for someone isn't it :)

many years ago I had a stall on cambridge market, while in a public toilet I saw a wallet sticking out from behind the toilet, it'd obviously been stolen, the cash had gone but the credit cards and personal items were still there, it was an american tourists wallet

I gave it to a police officer who took my details, about a week later I got a letter from the guy with a £5 note in it thanking me for returning his wallet.

It was 25 years ago but it still makes me feel good to know he got it back and appreciated it

Way to go! Never had the balls to call my neighbours bluff 'elderly or not' ! or maybe too lazy or selfish...
 
Nice touch :thumbs: Hope you removed any sticky insects off the windscreen with the arctic blower and swabs :D

Good deed returned ...... she gave Eileen a christmas cake later on lol bit burned but very nice thought and it didnt make our job harder as I was waiting for the suds to appear on my roof so ten mins well spent:thumbs:

A good few years ago a group of American teenagers where at our local venue doing West Side Story, and bl@@dy good they where to.
After the performance some of them came to the bar for a drink, one had dropped his wallet on the floor,so I picked it up it was packed with money.

Bl@@dy heck I thought ,they must be rich kids.

When I took it to him he nearly had a heart attack, ecky thump said He (onest) I've got the groups spends in that wallet (or billfold)

They would be a lean time touring with no spends.
Just take care of it mate ,I said , you might not be so lucky next time.

I think help and I bet he did a good turn the next chance he had.....
