My first solo wedding..

OP - sounds like a tough one! Stick with it, the next one is bound to be easier!

I'm kinda glad to see a post on here like this if I'm honest. Not that I'd wish someone to have a tough gig, but I think it's important for would-be wedding togs to hear stories like this.

Well, I have just got back from my first wedding shooting solo.

ive removed the rest of the text,., its to long to quote..

looks like i normal day at a wedding to me.. i just started doing weddings this year and so far i have done (i think) about 30 this year... i never plan ahead because its pointless. ive noticed that no 2 weddings go the same way so i just turn up and get on with it. So far i have had one complaint and strangely enough the guy actually said to me (and this was before he saw his photographs so this makes no sense to me what soever), and i quote 'I am very disappointed in your services'. Funny how he could say that without looking at his photographs? strange...

The rest of the couples have loved their photographs so i think this guy was just a complainer anyway.. I have said to people, I could have made the guy look like kevin costner and he still would not have been happy.

I really love doing weddings.. its a good laugh and you sometimes get to meet some really interesting people.

Another good thing about doing weddings is it keeps you fit because your running about like a crazy guy for hours at a time.

Good luck with your venture :) youll get over the sore legs and hand...

Sounds average!

l love all that stressy stuff. It keeps me on my toes, and l tend to do better. lf l'm bored it shows.
l haven't done a wedding yet that was smooth from start to finish...even if the glitches were small. l tend not to clock watch either. t helps that l don't charge by the hour.

Yes...as others have said, you have to be louder than the loudest guest, and bossier than anyone else too...but also be wearing the biggest smile. That helps people accept you as you bark orders.

Not had time to upload any photos yet, and the B&G had their DVD yesterday and have let me know they love the photos.

I like them, score them 6/10 personally, I've got a lot of work ahead of me to get as good as I would like.

Here is a link to the slideshow I made for them:
