Ah right. Don't you need at least 1 2012 dc to manage w8? Same way you need at least 1 2008 to manage w7?

Wsus won't have any baring on group policy.

It is the updates, they fail on windows 7 upgraded to windows 8. Even though we have patched wsus to work with windows 8, they fail.

As windows 8 is basically the same as windows 7 underneath (MS have stated it appears the same), it should work fine.

Wouldn't count on it.

7 was the "same" as vista but not everything worked.
