It's been my ambition to get good enough at photography to have an exhibition of some sort... but when the offer from a gallery to host one came out of the blue I nearly turned it down thinking I didn't have enough high quality work. I still think that but (eventually) said yes anyway :)

Learning to prepare stuff for print, learning about framing, mounting, glass choice, pricing, publicity and the like has been an education and has really encouraged me to up my game. Something magical happens when I take a print and put it in a frame; I stop noticing all the details and flaws and it becomes a photograph with a life of its own.

Anyway, if you happen to be anywhere near Southwold over the next week or so then do pop in and take a look at my work with acrobats and performers.

Congratulations Simon. I think this is something a lot of aspire to. Well done for achieving your ambition. I hope you get a lots of visitors and sales.

Well done sir, I've had two this year and it's nice to see your own pictures on someone else's wall for people to enjoy:)
The sense that something is physically finished is most satisfying. If I'd known how much work the exhibition was going to be I might have thought twice, but any future shows should be more straightforward.
