Well like the title status I am a first time SLR buyer and I am look for a bit of advice on which camera and lenses kit to get. I have look at the Nikon d40x, the canon rebel xti and a few others. However while I am a first time buyer I have been using SLR camera for about two months and I have been doing photography I a serious way for about five months so have an idea about cameras and what I will use my shots for . I just can’t decide which camera is the best for me. I do a wide range of photography so I am actually looking for some lens advice to. I am looking to spend between 650 to 800 us on this starter kit

Hi Black_Jacobin

Always tough to answer this question! Best advice for you is to get yourself to a camera shop and hold both Nikon and Canon to see which is most comfortable in your hands. Both have excellent intro cameras and there is a pretty even set of lenses for both brands.

Also, consider what cameras there are in each brand higher up the range - you may not think so now, but if you get hooked you're going to want to upgrade for more functionality..........

In the end, its all about what suits you

thanks for the advice and the welcome guys and i hope buy speakin to u all i could improve my photography
