Have you got it yet?!

That's great. When I got mine it had taken about 5,000 images judging by the image count, unless it had been reset... have fun!

Not really, it's usually only the shutter that wears out, some have failed at 10,000 clicks some do 300,000+, i've er had a few bodies,:D all secondhand never had a problem with any of them, condition is more important to me, if it looks like it's been well cared for i'm not interested in the shutter count :)

OK, I see some second hand cameras which are approaching 10,000 clicks, say if you were to buy one and the shutter failed after a while are they expensive to replace?

depends on the camera, £200 should do it for most, 10,000 clicks is nothing, I bought my D300 with 22,000 on it which is still only about 15% of it's expected life

Welcome to my world as just started dslr, but also found out it dosnt stop with just base kit:thinking:
Adding to it slowly but shopping still goes on,,,,lens,,,,tripod,,,,,bag big enough to fit kitchen sink in,filters,,,,lens caps the list goes on:nuts:
Have along way to go to get anywere near complete, but as weather been so:puke:getting out to get some urban decay shots not great in pouring rain. But have to say since dslr jump so pleased with results:love: it.Hope you have as much fun as me!

Only trouble with all this bad weather is more time on the forum picking up tips, know-how and a desire to learn more and a requirement for more kit lol...

Have spent more in the last week or two (since joining) than expected and already more expenditure on the horizon lol :)

But smile on the face, things to so when it's not pouring with rain can get out and see what we can do :)

LMAO, you've missed one obvious solution during the rain mandie, pop in the car and buy some different fish :)

gaz, you missed spending from that list!

Yep,got up this morning to red sunrise, could only gaze for a brief moment before swinging into making pack lunches [to news of floods] and start of weeks rat run and work:shrug:
