Not been on the forum much this week, had my first decent sized job on Monday, I was in Barrow to take photographs of a refurbished leisure centre for a national fitness company!

I was really nervous before it, the company provided a creative director and arranged for all the models, I was worried I might be a bit out of my depth, but as soon as I got on site and started shooting I was okay, I really enjoyed it although it was very hard work, I was there from 0930 to 1700 with a half an hour for lunch and took nearly 2000 shots!

I've spent the last two nights sifting through the shots and doing any pp that was required. I sent off the disc today to the customer and await their feedback. I did however receive an email the next day thanking me for my creative input and professionalism! :)

The day has done wonders for my confidence, and now I've had a taste of the pro photographers life, I want more!!

Good stuff! while you may have been slightly nervous, I doubt anyone would have had any reservations about you as a photographer, so once you got rid of them butterflies, would have been all plain sailing.

How did you end up getting the job in the first place? was it word of mouth?

My mate works for the company and asked me to do some shots at a gym locally, in return for a meal for me and the wife getting taken out for a meal, they liked the shots and asked me to quote for the job. Hopefully they like the shots and I get the chance to quote for more work with them.

Well done indeed! Hope they are pleased with your work and let us know what they think. And maybe a pic?:D

Ignore me, I read the title as My First "boob" job

Sounds like you relished it, which is what its all about. The more you enjoy it the better the images will be.

Fantastic, thanks for posting this, it's great to know you are doing just fine having taken the plunge.

it is a great feeling when it all goes well....I can tell you are happy with the shoot so your customer should be as well! Well done you!

I would be nervouse just having to venture into the worlds biggest cul-de-sac ..It's not the best places is barrow :)

But well done on the job as they say... Now you have to top it.. bigger and better.. onwards and upwards ...congrats:)

Thanks everyone, I will post some of the photos at a later date, think it's only right that the client gets to see them first! :)

Hmmm, a few more years and maybe I'll be able to get that taste too :)
