My dog has been dog napped NOW FOUND

How did a lost dog turn into a weight watchers thread :thinking:

Back to the op glad the pooch is safe and home. Its not a good feeling when a pet gets lost or pinched glad its a good outcome :thumbs:
 
Glad you found her. Don't know what I'd do if my pup disappeared!

back on the OP i'm glad she's been found safe and well. If she makes a habit of wandering off habve you thought about one of those locator collars (they are essentially like a gps mobile phone and when you call them they give you coordinates) - not cheap mind, but worth it to retreive your furry freind.

weight wise she is a chunky little thing but if she's lost her lady bits its not entirely suprising, hormone imbalance often causes weight gain , simple as - I know a guy who caught a bit of frag in the nuts while serving in the afghan , and despite otherwise being as fit as a butchers dog , and regularly running half marathons etc he's still put on a fair bit of weight since it happened
 
she doesn't have a habbit of wandering off
she sometimes sits at the end of the drive watching people go by if they speak to her she will go up to them for attention
The lane is narrow and people often swing in my bottom drive way entrance
she cannot get out of the top drive way
the lower drive way is on to a farmers field and would need 375m of sheep fencing to keep her in
I have caught people before in cars getting out and picking her up to put her in their car
guess what I shall be doing this week end

Mum's cat disappeared the other day, so she rang to tell me the sad news.

2 days later he returned... i assume shut in garage or shed.

My collie used to go missing regularly, then I discovered there was a hole in the fence at the back of the local kennels and he was nipping in for a bit of "exercise" :lol:

I wasn't the first to comment on the dogs weight...that was somebody in post #8...I came in at post # 18 where a 'discussion' had already formed....you mods read too much into how folk interact on forums. My point still stands on the fact the the OP said that the dog had been 'dog napped' when clearly it hadn't. Why have do you have a problem with that? It should be a problem with the fact the OP's initial assumption was wildly incorrect.

I have already posted that it is good to see the dog home safe, so you can count out that I am being heartless or anti 'pet'.

I am allowed my view (or am I?), especially when it I am being singled out.
 
The dog did not run off or wander 1/2 a mile up the road
she is old and fat and bimbles around the grounds
Had I not run round and posted signs up every where would I have got her back
it was a third party that rang me and told me her neighbour new where my dog was she had seen the missing posters I put up
She may well have followed someone walking up the lane
this person may well have not realised where she lived, but the nearest house to me is 1/2 mile
this person may well have picked her up and thought I'll have this and after about half a mile decided to dump it as she was to heavy lol
I stand by my title as at the time and knowing my dog it seemed correct
she has never wandered off
It may well have all been innocent and the dog was put in the garden of the first house this person came across
She is back safe and sound and that is all that matters

I hope in twenty (or longer) years time when I'm old, a bit more senile and have put on a few pounds that if my partner was to post on here that a tp'er had gone for a wander the posts may be a bit more helpful than " that lardy photographer needs to go to fat club when she comes back! " glad she is safe and well and hope she is around for a long while yet.

certainly as I have gotten older
why do I bother and FFS are phrases I often use
I thought I was becoming a Victor meldrew till I visited on line forums :lol:
They have made me feel normal and so much better in my old moaning age :lol:
