Well I have now officially made my christmas day the 23rd December for this year as my lovely family clubbed together so I could purchase a full set of Hitech filters.:)

I only ordered them yesterday and they were on my doorstep this morning, I know I should have wrapped them but excitement got the better of me!

It comprises of a full set of Hitech ND 100mm hard and soft filters the adaptor ring and holder with a specially made to order filter which will arrive at the end of January. The made to order is a .45 which equates to a 1.5 stop difference this is used by a photographer called Ian Cameron and his website is Transient Light, worth a look.

All I need to do now is get out and use them.

Wishing everyone a very merry Christmas and a prosperous New Year.:)

Thanks Danny, a couple of photographer friends use them too and they come highly recommended.

I've used HiTech's for years - IMO they're outstanding quality, as good as Lee. Also, their customer service is excellent.

Have to agree with you there BT Bob, to get next day delivery in the Highlands of Scotland is fantastic and when I called them to order the specialised filter they were most helpful!

Good to know they are excellent so looking forward to using them.

I hope they're good as Santa may have some on his sled for me too. In my case a 'starter' set of ND soft grads that I can add to as and when.

I managed to persuade everyone in my family that I wanted them and nothing else, so they all gave me money so I could order them before Christmas! I had to put a little to it to cover the short fall but that was no hardship.

I am sure we will both enjoy them.

Merry Christmas

I've had a peek at their website as I'm on the lookout for a set of filters and they currently have a 20% off sale using the code XMAS2014 at the checkout - I'm hoping my rellies have loaded their cards with cash :-)
