My cat has been run over :(

Sorry about your cat Craig, We lost out family cat after 14 years just last week.

Trouble with pets they become part of your family and break your heart when these things happen.:(

My cat Ebony had been missing for three days, we found her this morning with a bloody nose and a suspected broken back leg :(

The uncertainty was killing me, at least she is home safe, albeit injured :(

Mate, you really did make the right decision. Sounds like it was a no-brainer; the cats quality of life would have been massively compromised, so you had the cat's well being first and foremost in your mind. Sad as it may seem, it really was for the best.

Dee, hope yours makes a speedy recovery. Can you give her some loving (just a few strokes or something) from me please...

As for Rainbow Bridge, I daren't read it either, for the same reason..I just LOVE animals

I'm so sorry to hear that, Craig. If it is any consolation at all, it sounds as if you did the best thing for the wee fella.

Call me mad but I even say "hello mate" to flies and bees, in fact everything wildlife or tame are my "mates":cuckoo:

When I see wild birds and they see me and are just about to fly off, I mutter "you're alright mate, not gonna harm you".

:help:

Sorry to hear about the loss of your kitty :( Its always hard to say goodbye to our furry friends.

Awww Craig, I'm so sorry to hear that. I know how difficult it to is to lose a pet so prematurely and in horrible circumstances. You have to just remember all the nice times you shared - maybe do a little montage if you have some photographs as a nice memorial.

Speaking as a cat lover and owner, I felt your pain. You've done all you could possibly do for your cat, it's never easy when a favourite pet goes that way.

I do have some photo's and some home movies, and I am thankful for them thats for sure.
We went to see him before they put him to sleep, totally heartbreaking it was too. He enjoyed the fuss we gave him though, purring all the time we were there with him.
Once again, thanks for all the kind words, and Birdy - that passage you wrote was amazing, was at a loss for words when I read it and my wife was crying! Maybe I'll read the book once I feel better.

Craig

Rainbow Bridge is actually quite well known Craig, dont be giving birdy the credit ;)

Ive had two cats cremated now, and where it was held, they had the same poem on the wall in the garden, it gives you some comfort :)

Hope you're holding up x

Sorry Craig

Wish I could claim the credit for Rainbow Bridge but as Betty said it is a well known piece
I have found it of comfort to me in the past and just wanted to share:D

I am far from a Cat-lover, but this was a sad read :(, i do hope you guys bounce back from him though and maybe home and love another just like him from maybe a rescue centre etc...

I am so sorry to hear this, really sad news,

Thinking of you and sending a
