Yeah my new toy/birthday pressie to myself has finally come home. I'm the now proud owner of a Canon 30D and boy what a difference it is from my 350D, I feel a bit all grown up now

Although I think Canon are a tad tight as I brought the 30D + 17-85 kit only to find that I've got to buy the lens hood as an extra...

I've had a quick look see over it but no photo's as yet as I have to go to work:( :( :bang:
would rather be at home, from what I've seen so far I'm well impressed.

I'll do some sort of test with the 300d, 350d and the 30d with the same lens and settings so that if there's anyone at the thinking stage of buying a 30d they'll have something to reffer to.

Think that bird bath in the gardens going to be well and truely photographed

Congrats on the new camera - definately an upgrade path Im considering myself, when/if funds allow. Will be interested to see your findings and comparisons

If I remember correctly you only get lens hoods with L lenses, bit pathetic considering its only a bit of felted plastic but there you go :(

Congrats mate. Bet you're dead chuffed :D

How big does that screen hit you when you first turn it on!

Congrats om the camera :)

I want a big screen too !!! :(

Dave,

Nice one. A superb camera, welcome to the club. To me, it is noticeably better than the 350D in PQ, performance and handling, especially with the battery pack.

Enjoy :)

Diego.
