My 1st Video With My New Samsung Galaxy S3 Mini nowt special just a bit of snow and traffic sorry no bangs or crashes boring but just testing quaity and stabilization, Im well chuffed with it can come on TP anywhere now :cool: :)

I have a galaxy s2 that is presently being repaired because I dropped it and I miss it like mad but the video it produces is fantastic truly fantastic but in June my contract is up so its HELLO S3 and I cant wait but not sure if I should get the normal or the mini...enjoy your new SAMMY! BTW nice video and considering the snow etc it did good.

Thanks i wanted the s3, but well I got one but got charged me £380 on a 12mnth cont I wanted 24mth with free phone, so I had to wait for daily then send it back to get my refund of £380, so when i got cash back, I went to local tescos and they didnt have s3 in stock, neither was it online so after 3 weeks without a new phone I went for the S3 mini Blue, I still had my fredy flintstone phone :lol:

anyway Im loving the mini find it easy to use, my thumb and fingers can easy reach all over so its good for me

Video quality looks good to me so Im happy :)
 
I think I shall get the s3 mini too Dave it seems like a natural progression as I have an android tablet already, I cant believe how much the S2 has become a part of my life and now that I am using an old nokia until next week when I get it back from the repair company my heart sinks when I get a text thinking that I have to reply and it is PAINFUL to text on as it takes ages lol.

I did want the S3 cam pixel wise, but as said stock issues so got the mini
tried to get the triangle fences as lead ins to point to my focus point, do the same composition elements/rules as such work for video, I know there's other creative for video as well to be utilised

Hand held so stabilizer works goo I think
 
Tbh, my S2 records lovely video in daylight/bright conditions but suffers badly in low light.

The flash on it is a real killer as well when recording. However my main bug bear with them is the mic. Most people want the sound of what they are recording, but the phone only has a front mic so picks up the breathing etc of the operator and not what is being filmed.

It needs 2 mics and the ability to switch between them.
 
I got my S2 back yesterday from the repair company after dropping it and I am delighted, I have always been impressed with the video and sound from my s2 and use it regularly to supplement video taken on a gopro h2 and have no qualms at all but I suppose each expectations are different.

recorded sound? most of mine are video's of my daughter. If I speak while recording it just destroy's any other sound in the room due the mic facing me and not what you are recording.
 
dunno about the S2 this is my 1st smartphone S3 mini think the mics on the bottom end near the connection

The s2 has two mics one at each end of the phone situated on the sides, one by the usb connection and one by the jack connection at the other end.

Yeah, but both pic up the operator more than the subject, you really need one located next to the lens or flash
 
Does it not record in HD? Could do with having a HD version on Youtube, would be more useful...
