Daily MWHCVT(Matt's) - The Year of the Thousandth

Day 76 - Day out well nearly :suspect:

Watching you watching me  I decided I needed to do something that involved leaving the house today, but still feeling rather naff if I'm honest so I only went as far as the patio :(

Vince

Thanks Vince, I'm hoping I'm feeling better for the weekend, got a sunday mooch up to wakefield for a bit of a wire wool and light painting session :D

Looks like it's made of plastic

LOL not quite but it sure wasn't that lively spending a few minutes just sat there watching me :suspect:

wont be long till you are back on your feet Matt :)

God I can only hope Carol, felt that rough this afternoon that once my shopping was put away I went back to bed for a little bit :(

Demand, now that is too true!

You speak the truth buddy :D

Day 77 - Heart of Gold

Today I'm desperately trying to pin my mojo down and beat it back into my photography, trouble is I'm still feeling rough and even went back to bed for a little bit :sulk: so I decided to have a bash at a little bit of an artistic narrow DoF flower photography with this colourful crocus

I do like that one, the stamen is really good and sharp & then the fading out of focus works well with the stripes.
Hope you feel better soon.

That's Sarah, I'm glad you like it  I'll confess today's is not nearly as striking :(

Day 78 - Press it, I dare you!

It can sometimes get really tempting to just press the off switch to take some time out and just have a break from it all  hoping that I'm on the up from the cold, feeling marginally better this evening though still very wheezy :sulk:

Glad you're starting to feel better, it's just got a hold of me! Hard to get creative but at least I'm keeping things ticking over.

Oh Lynn, hope you don't get hit too hard with it :( still feeling naff but breathing is getting a little easier now :D

Don't press it Matt ................the journey must go on, the end is near or will it continue past the tartget,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Great concept and photography bud
Please you are feeling slightly better Matt

Nice one, if it's how you felt it's a good shot of the day. Just don't press it though!!
Glad you are feeling better, must be horrible to keep getting chest infections. I used to get alot of colds & throat infections, but after having my tonsils out when I was in my 30's I rarely get anything.

Gorgeous flower shot and very arty.. Pretty too!

The pressing the off switch... Yes if only we could.. Although fastforward could be good when we feel crappy!
:hugs2: hope you are on the mend

It's a debate at this time mate, on do I stop at 1000 or do I continue to the end of the year, I'm torn what to do as 1000 is a nice number to stop at it's clean and round number but at the same time part of me would feel I've stopped mid year :bang: but if I go to the end of the year that would leave me on 1096 and that would feel odd finishing on that number :shake:

Nice and minimilaist, good composition

Glad you like it :D

I have been feeling like it quite a bit this week if I'm honest but I've gone this far cannot quit now, I don't think that my body has ever really recovered properly from pneumonia in 2010, but it's my aim for this year to get fitter

Glad you like it T, hope your feeling better too, yeah a fast forward would be good or at least a TV guide giving an insight into forthcoming days, would love to always know what my photo would be

Not sure on this one if I'm honest Matt! I understand the meaning behind it though! Don't you dare switch off!

It's never going to that much of a photographic beauty, I do like the pattern of rings on the button, reminiscent of a finger print if you see what I mean, I'm not going to press the button yet :D

You can change your titles to suit when you stop that way you wouldn't feel weird

So it could be..... Matts 1000 photo journey
Or
Matts 3 years photo journey
That way which ever you choose wouldn't feel like you're stopping half way or having an odd number to finish on!

We shall see T, that's all I can commit to at this time, knowing me I'll get to about 965 days and start thinking about going on past 1000 to who knows where

Day 79 - Aged Beauty

Don't ask me to justify this one, not sure why but I just loved the look of the daffodils evening in there aged state you see them here all dried and crisp, I wish they'd lasted longer but even in there ending the flowers have provided me with a daily photo

Nice tones - It's amazing how much more detail they seem to have when they are dead.

Nice but sad Matt. Lots of the daffodils in my garden are still to come out. I think the frost and snow is holding them back. Then as soon as they come out it will get warm and they will only last a few days:(

I think I'd have preffered one on its own! Nicely done none the less

I see what you mean  might just give it a go as you say it should look good on it's own

Don't have to justify this one to me Matt, I love dead flowers, I'm leaving the batch of tulips I bought the other day to dry out ready for some nice dead flower texture shots :)

Thanks Sarah, glad you like it and look forward to seeing your dead flowers :D

Indeed, you get to see all the internal structure  glad you like it

out of the hundreds we've got in the garden I think I've seen one out so far this year  so much for global warming

Matt, how have I not done a catch up with you? How is it that I am looking at photos I KNOW I responded to and can't see my little pearls of wisdom? I am starting to think I have a click back issue instead of a submit reply approach.:eek:

Anyhow...

69 - vibrant and looks like you had a lot of fun with this
70 - nice detail, I agree she looks grumpy, but I don't blame you for that :)
71 - great focus and nice composition, looks great in B&W
72 - Always nice to see someone makes sure their digits are clean before photographing them! Nice shot illustrating your text, i like it and nice & sharp as well.
73 - yeah, sorry about that little bout of man-flu you had :p Unless you replaced, I think it looked fine as was
74 - Quite like the white juxtaposed against the more typical yellow
75 - Love this, the subject, the focus and the corresponding text ... works really well
76 -
77 - Lovely, lovely shot - great focus on the middle, wonderful colours and patterns in the outer area and an almost abstract feel to it.
78 - Nice focus, lovely little pity me story behind it, and another reminder that women get colds and men get bubonic plague! So, just in case you need another pat on the head and a shoulder to lay your weary head on....sorry to see you still don't feel well and hope you get better very soon, Matt! ...
79............damn it. I did some dead (but not all) flowers today and you beat me to it. Nice composition and focus on that one on the foreground works well.

See ya in another ten days or so!!:wave::lol:

I've done that where I think I've commented on photo's I think it comes from seeing some of them on facebook or flickr before actually in the thread in my case  glad overall your liking the photo's and thanks for the well wishes  It's been a pity me week I'm afraid, I'm the first to admit I'm pathetic but colds and stuff really do knock me for 6 :(
