Day 44 - Creative...Me?

I got to thinking on old hobbies that have not really been looked at since photography became my love, and painting really has to be one of them :( this is an example of one of a couple of sets of watercolour paints that I have, I picked out to focus on my favorite colour a rich deep blue

Nice, really like that - but you do realise that you are now obliged to show us some of your work :D

Good use of selective focus, agree you will have to show off some of your paintings now :P

Glad you like :) as to showing off some work I'll have to see what I can do ;)

Day 45 - Sentimental

As stupid as this sounds but this is a bit of a personal one, not shot with photographic memories but purely personal memories, this pigeon was out in the rain that was valentines day 2013

I love the watercolour shot, it's just so vibrant. Rather like the wood pigeon as well, we have a few that visit the garden, they are huge, eat all the food & have trouble taking off, but they make us laugh.

Thanks glad you like them, for years we've called them Antanov's because of there size

Hi Matt, not keen on the water on the CD shot, sorry matey, I get the idea and thinking but it didn't quite come off for me.

The watercolours shot is really nice, the dof is spot on, and the pigeon shot really works nice detail too

Like the pigeon photo. Really like that you can see the rain and its neck, wow, didn't realise that their feathers did that.

Hi Simon I wouldn't worry about the CD shot I like the idea but my execution of it was awful :bang: glad you like the last two :)

Day 46 - Springing Spring :D

The garden is starting to come to life, with little bursts of colour and here you see some crocus's that have just started to flower in the garden  a very small DoF one but then that's what I was going for

Ooh nice flowers! I better go and have a look in my garden tomorrow, there should be some old bulbs about to sprout again :)

Really like your watercolour palette image.

Really like the vividity (is that a word ) of the stamen against the light colours of the petals.

I'm not sure that is a word but I was always useless at English as school, but vibrancy is certainly a word and I see exactly what you mean  glad you like it :D

Day 47 - The Light Man

This morning well most of the nation was still tucked up in their beds, or maybe someone else's :naughty: I was out with thedodo and another of our friends for a little more light painting fun in our favorite road tunnel, we went for something a little different this time just for fun, and also had a go at a glowing man a.k.a. the light man

I wish I lived closer to you! This looks like a lot of fun :)

Oh it really is :) we were discussing a Scotland extravaganza last night but there's no was we can fit it in this year :(

Lots of great recent photos, Matt! I love the crocuses, I bet your garden looks lovely! The pigeon's really nice as well - great detail and, again, looking right at you! The light painting's amazing....love the Light Man! :)

Another thread catchup for me, been another busy week at work. Loving the droplets, I tried it one night, but just couldn't get them right at all so did something else instead. Also loving day 47 which I saw earlier on your photostream and now here. You truly are an inspiration to me and I’m sure a lot of other people on here. Although I don’t get the time to come on everyday, I do look forward to seeing both yours and other peoples pictures on here. Keep up the good work :)
