Again Matt top photography !" Love the thought you put into your photography.

Great to watch someone at work

Look forward to the next shot 1

I'm just trying to decide what I should use for today's :D but thanks for your really kind comments Vince, it's appreciated

Day 126 - Same View, but not?

It's the the first time I've done a panorama including the Beacon at Burton Dassett, but this is the first time that I've done it from the village side of the hills  you can only get a complete view of the beacon for about 10 metres from this angle without climbing to the top of the hill

This is also the first time that I've done a panorama using the 5D3 the massive files really help on the detail front

Nice panoramic Matt, looks quite good. The link doesn't work for the large, just shoes as blank.

Thanks Michael and the link should now work

Matt

Yep that works, cracking detail.

Great, it is the detail you get is immense  you can actually get a reasonable look at DMC Kineton  I'm not to sure the MOD would like too closer look being Europe's biggest munitions depot :naughty:

Matt

Day 127 - Uncharted Waters

Today I decided to really head off and put my camera to the test in low light situations, I didn't go to mad as for a really old church St. Mary's of Warwick is not that bad, but still not the most comfortable place to get a decent shutter speed

So this is the one of the organs this particular one is directly above the main entrance to the church  and very nice it is, it's actually the first time in church since my friend Becky got married there last year

The technical stuff, this was taken at 1/60th @ f/9 ISO16000 and that's not a typo that really was sixteen thousand

I'm thinking that I'm going to try and give myself a theme of "Spiritual Sundays" just to mix things up a little

Very Thoughtful photography there Matt !!

Thanks Vince, I'm really pleased with this one it's also making me think just how high I can now take the ISO :cuckoo:

Matt

Oh my! What a performance. I would have never put that as such a high iso. I want one now!

I know right the ISO performance is out of the world I cannot wait to get a clear night and then give it a blast at my night time love  that should be really special :woot:

Matt

Look forward to seeing it. Really intrigued to see these real world samples.

You not the only one, I'm getting so fed up of cloudy day's I need actually no [S3]DEMAND[/S3] a clear night I want to go and shoot the stars with it, there is nothing like real world photo's for evaluation, staged/managed photo's are no good for that

Matt

Day 128 - Feeling Green

This evening I went off to have a go at capturing the laser's that were being used for a public art installation  but to be honest they were rubbish, and a real disappointment :shake: it's the first time I've had to put a photo up for this year's challenge that I really am disappointed with

Day 129 - Seat of Power

I had to go down to Westminster today of an appointment so I though that it would have been rude not to take a photo of the House's of Parliament seen here with a Police boat cruising past keeping the Seat of Power secure

Hi Matt, the low light performance looks very good. Quite like the colours in the sky on the night scene. Lovely framing on the houses of parliament too, very nice picture. I see both shots were shot at iso 640, not that it matters though as the iso performance is exceptional

Indeed Michael, both we at ISO640 I'm finding it a rather nice level  the night shot in really was a right failure :( but very happy with today's :D

Matt it's ashame about the lazer night being poor but the weather wasn't the best was it.

The shot of parliament is a nice frame pal.

Atb

Vince

Thanks Vince, Daventry was a real let down and the weather really was awful :( today made up for it though :D

Matt

Beautifully framed house of parliament...well st peters tower anyhow. And the panorama though featureless is brilliantly executed from what I can see. Your organ has to be the winner for detail and grandeur though.

Thanks Kev, I'm really pleased with the HOP as you say it's not really but you can see a little bit of them St. Peter's tower is the main subject, the Panorama does have a feature :naughty: it's just that it's very small   I really do like the organ though it's a wonderful church with so much to see

Day 130 - Golden Nugget in the Rain

I'll be honest and say I've no idea what the flower is but hopefully someone will be able to give me an idea on that front  but with a small gap in the rain this afternoon I dashed outside to do my photo, I'm really pleased with how this one has come out :D

Golden Nugget cracking title and the shot is captured just right bud , well don matt !!

Thanks Vince, I'm really pleased with today's photo :D

Just dropped in to see what you've have been up to. You've certainly been a busy bunny

There's is, as you suggested, a definite yellow theme developing :)

The Houses of Parliament shot is lovely. Such a shame the weather didn't play ball and give you a stunning sky.

Thanks Steve, Indeed it seems to be the yellow season when it comes to flowers  I do like that angle on the HoP It's one that I became rather familiar with  when I spent a few weeks in intensive care in St. Thomas' on the south bank there a couple of years ago

Matt

Hi Matt, I am pretty sure it's called Kerria (japonica) nice picture btw.

Thanks Michael, I'd say that you're spot on with the ID having clicked that link

Nice framing Matt  I know what it is just cant think of the name at the mo :bang:

Thanks Dave, I'm really pleased with today's as it's done nothing but rain apart from the 5 minutes when I went and took that photo

Matt

Same here but a different kind of rain we sprung a leak under the floorboards hence my verdigris shot

:bang: well at least it was while you were on holiday :shake: I did quickly see that photo but was in the middle of cooking tea  will take another look later

Hi Matt,

Still hard at it I see! - 'Chatty Lambs' brilliant, great use of shallow DoF. Hope you're keeping well. I'm not going to be around much for a few months it's back to sea for me. Just waiting for a deployment date. I'll pop bye and say ta-ra first though !

Back to keeping the country safe  I'm pleased that your still liking what your finding, while I'm betting space is limited for you I hope you'll be taking a camera away with you

I'm not to bad, just looking forward to a couple of days madness at the weekend

Day 131 - On a Golden Wind

This evenings photo was a bit of a rush, I fell asleep this afternoon as for various reasons I'd been up late and didn't wake up till nearly 8pm  so quickly cooked up some dinner and then jumped in the car and raced to the windmill to grab some sunset photo's as it looked like it was going to be a good one, also bumped into a new TPer while there

Lovely shot, it worked well

Thanks John :D I thought that it worked well and was worth speeding a little to get there on time for the sunset :D

Day 132 - The Golden Crop

In the wonderful golden glow as the sun was setting I couldn't resist a photo of this field just on the outskirts of my home village

Really like Golden Crop, Matt.
I like the LE sunset with the 5D3 as well, but is the tower perfectly in focus?
