Liking the church Matt, liking the sun burst you have coming in.

Nice detail in the shilling and the lighting looks good.

Thanks Michael, I'm very pleased with the church one as it too some waiting to get :D while I waited for the sun to be in the right position

I'm happy with the detail in the shilling and it's nice to vary what I'm doing a little as I've done this week as so far this year I've done so much landscape stuff it amazing so it is nice to do something different as although my landscapes really have improve which is what I wanted I still want to maintain what I learnt in other disciplines last year

Day 92 - Forgotten Farm

With abandoned equipment and collapsed walls and roof, this part of the farm has long since been abandoned and now mother nature starts to make her plans to take over the scene and revert it to how she planned ;)

Thanks Kev, I thought that it worked well as a perspective :D no what you've said that about the darkness it reminded me that I need to double check my calibration as had a windows update last night, indeed this is a fish eye photo, I just love that lens :D

Matt

Nice Matt, another fine derelict youve found, it does look a little dark to me also, but great location well worth the visit and more visits at different times a s well, maybe a bit of light painting could be on the cards

On the light painting front that is exactly what I've got planned  I just need to speak with the owner first  and I'm just going to check the calibration now :bonk: I knew there was something I meant to do when I got up this morning

Hi Matt. Just catching up on your last week or 2 as i have been away in New York for 6 days:thumbs:
Impressed with your star trails, really good work. And great patience!
Had a wee laugh at your lawn mowing time lapse, that is something i should try as i spend 2 days every week mowing grass, a lot of it on a tractor mower.
Also liking the abandoned farm and church sunset, keep up the work.

Thanks Phil, I hope that you had a nice time in NYC and look forward to some photos  as to the time lapse go for it they really are a lot of fun  Startrails are an art of patience but it really is worth it

I'm pleased that your still enjoying your visits to my thread

Matt

Looks great for light painting that. Very nice colour added by the sun.

Thanks Michael, I'm sure that it is going to work well for light painting

Day 93 - Seasons End

Well this is my favourite light trails location, I've done this angle before but never with this lens and what a difference it makes :D

I think that this makes a nice image to mark the end of my 2011/12 light trail season, no when it comes to light trails I will be doing more to perfect my urban trails over the spring and summer before the start of the 2012/13 season around the middle of September :D

I've no idea about the edit button as I'm seeing it as normal :suspect: I'm very pleased with it  unfortunately your nearly always going to get a little blow out near the vanishing point as the light source is so far away it merges into a single group of pixels I've found

 I wonder that sometimes about people trying to make be paranoid, it's when they make you disappear you really need to be worried, I've book my hotel room for TPcon, I've got to go to the bank tomorrow and pay my ticket money as I forgot to do it last week :bonk:

I've used grad in the past and they can help but can also result in a flare issue, but this was done with the fisheye so a grad would be hard :suspect:

Cool Matt did you book the hotel showed you, when we did those stunning sunsets? if so hope you get some more I can only make the 1st day, during the day, as we go on holiday again, were going to Thassos a Greek Island, 4 hr flight then transfer by boat, which Im not looking forward to I hate small boats, LOL I get seasick easily, Sunday morning,

Ive seen the itinerary, but nothing appeals to me so may give it a miss, I want to support TP and make it work after all Darrens hard work, wish he would have picked one that I thought of, thats right near my house and motorway and cheap rooms, full complex with swimming pool sauna all free, so I could have spent more time, its an hour journey to where Darrens booked, so may not have time really but, well it will be good to meet peps,if I can make it, maybe you could pop up to mine before you go,

I wont be doing anything thats planned, for the 1st day, as said nothing appeals to me, if I do come come I will bring my Juggling clubs and diabolos, I would bring my fire juggling stuff but wont be there for the night, and peps can get some fab movement shots, I'll dress accordingly so colourful. theres another member whos into jugging think it something the juggler user name so we could do some goo passing stuff that would be amazing

well I only will be able to be there for half a day anyway, got finalise my packing and stuff, we fly out early Sunday morning 3am,so airport at 11pm, and an hour travel so got to leave at 10pm by the latest, so have other things to do, shame really, as I did want to precipitate fully, and go out with you again, as we had a fab time in Lytham, hope you all have a great time look forward to seeig the shots and your surprise SSSSSSSSSSSSSSShhhhhhhhhhhhhh :thumbs::thumbs:

Indeed that's the one I've booked  I've booking it for myself and Darrell and for the two of it sharing a room it's a total of £130 for the two nights :D I've got a few things planned for the weekend so we shall see how things plan out, but I'll be sure to make sure we meet up

I need to get the surprise sorted I plan on using a different car so I may have to go for a slightly smaller version of the surprise  I hope to sort out some informal night photography for those interested but I need to finalise what I can arrange before going to public on that front

Matt

Umm thats gone up quite a bit, since we went sure Darrell said it was £120 maybe that was per night, for 2 peps sharing, it was £52 when went, so well it is high season I suppose so its gone up £15, still good value for B+B does that included evening meal, Im sure they did a deal with that, great hotel with sea veiws, and the fab location and chance for some great shots if Daz can light the bloody wire :lol: without dropping it in the wet sand only kidding, it was a bit to windy really, but we had a fab time there and brill shots stunning sky it was on fire compared to Chorley LOL it cleared up fab and the Fish and chips were good,

It works out at £32.50PPPN but I went for B&B as I expect that TPers will end up going out for food anyway  I'm happy with that price as it's cheaper than any other place that I would consider laying my head  We have now got it nailed when it comes to lighting it, we now take lighter fluid

I've got to say if the sunsets are half as good as that night then it will be worth the trip :woot:

Plus I'll have the fish eye with me :D

Matt

Really like Day 92, Matt.
The sunset colours are fantastic and the shot works really well from that angle!

A cracking end to the light trail season Matt.

Thanks Michael I'm pleased with the way that it's come out  nice to get a good one for the end of the season

Spring the time of new beginning  I'm still trying to get this perfect and I'm not totally happy with this one if I'm honest, I think that I need a tree that had even more blossom on it

Hi Matt, nice pic that, always like pics of blackthorn blossom, I see what you mean though, it would be nice to see loads more around it.

Indeed I think that I need to go out on the hunt in the next couple of days see what I can find  I'm off out the area with work for a couple of days over the weekend so it should be interesting to see what I can find

Matt

Day 95 - Mystery Macro :suspect:

Well the weather has not exactly been great today so I went into macro mode :D and while looking for an interesting coin in my collection I came across this little Indian coin that honestly I've no idea how it came into my possession as none of my close family have ever been to India

interesting coin that Matt, amazing what turns up. Have you had snow at yours today?

Nope all we've had is rain rain and erm more rain, I would quite like snow as I've got a rake of locations that I still want to cover under snow conditions, it is mad what turns up I have a rather large collection of random coins but didn't know I had this

Matt

We woke up to snow here, but turned to rain later on this afternoon. We have a collection of all shiny coins that my mum and dad keep safe, will get round to doing some coin photography someday.

I've got a collection of nice shiny coins too  when ever I get a shiny coin I'm always checking to see if it's a special and if it is then it leaves my pocket and moves into the collection :bonk:

I'm one of those sickening people that love the snow, I guess it's because my car has no issues in coping with it

Matt

I must be one of them too, I love snow :D

It's the best :D I love driving in the snow when ever we have it I cover hundreds of miles going to different locations to get the photo's that I want, unfortunately I don't get to see all that much I think since I've had my camera I've seen all of 12 inches and all of it in dusting's no more than 2.5 inches deep usually less than an inch :bang:

Hi Matt,

You are doing remarkably well with this challenge. You seem to have a bit of an obsession with churches and money, but they make great photos! I don't know how you manage to keep producing so many excellent images.

Well done

Jenny

Jenny

You've missed my slight obsession with a certain windmill  I do like church  but I'm actually not religious I just think that they make nice subjects, though I have a real obsession with coins because of the journey that they will have taken to reach me and the detail you get on them

I'm pleased that you like the quality of my work and only hope I can maintain such a high standard
