Day 81 - All Saint's

I was passing the village church again this afternoon and this time I had my fish eye with me so I though that I'd go inside again an taken another interior photo..

Truth be told I think that I've ever so slightly missed focus on this :( and I didn't have my tripod to it is a little noisy from ISO400 that I used. But I'm still pleased with the over all effect :D

I'll call into your 52 later I'm going to head out soon

I'm looking forward to a trip to the gaydon location and may head over there in the evening tomorrow to have a quick look

Thanks Kev, the fish eye has been getting a lot of use I love it :D let me know when you've done some light trails and I'll be sure to have a good look and if you need any help with them you know where I am

Matt

I want to combine them with the project.... But its finding a dark enough street with few passer bys to wonder what I'm upto... I'll let you know.. Thanks Matt..

 That's manic music that is in and in no way relaxing  - just put Classical Radio on and chill out.... that will sort you can be very inspirational too when photography is concerned.

That said it is a 'Marmite' thing, you either love it or hate it, as for Jazz that's just screwed up Blues in my opinion

Keep smiling and do what you do best - photography

 I know it's in no way relaxing but for some reason I was finding too many of the songs that the radio were playing far too depressing   and it's very hard to get that with dance music

Though some of it cold well get me a speeding ticket :suspect:

Day 82 - Spring Time

Alright so I've missed the boat on this one, as yesterday was officially the start of spring :bonk: but I thought that I would go out today and try and get a nice image of a spring lamb :D

82/366 (437) by mwhcvt, on Flickr

This was taken with my 70-300mm and to be honest I'm still not happy with it, the clarity is not very good and I have the feeling that it will soon be going to Canon

Thats nice - spot on composition

Thanks John, I'm pleased you like the composition as I went to this specific location to try and get this type of photo

I could have just walked up my lane and got a picture of a lamb but wanted a little bit special

Hello Matt,

Sorry for not posting. I've had a hard time trying to keep track of everything.

I've just gone through your slide show of your 366 to see your latest pictures so far and you've a cracking set of pictures. I love your churchyard pictures.

Very good work, hard work too, doing a 366.

Thanks Robert, that's really appreciated...I'm very pleased with my progress so far this year, I feel like I've kicked the standard up a gear

I appreciate that there is so much going on, on TP so thanks for taking the time to have a look and comment

A lovely lamb Matt, which 70-300 have you got?

Thanks Michael, I have the Canon EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS USM but I don't know if it's taken a knock or needs servicing but the focus is just not right on it at the moment when you shoot wide open  this was taken at f/8 so I had to bump the ISO to 400 to get the SS, wide open it's beyond soft to the point that it's OOF

I'm pleased that you like the photo

Day 83 - Solid Gold

This is one of my favourite locations in Warwickshire hence why I spend so much time there with the camera  it's just such a wonderful play thought this evening besides Darrell (thedodo) and myself it was surprisingly free of photographers, considering the sunset I'm sure there were a few around the area that we kicking themselves for not being that

Very nice Matt

Thanks Michael :D

Superb!!

I can see why you spend so much time at this location!

Cheers Simon, I really is the most amazing location  though I maybe spend a little too much time there, I think that they should give me a log cabin there or access to the room inside the windmill, I really must do a sun rise there soon :D

Matt

Super sky Matt, well done.
What processing have u done on it?

Phil

Thanks Phil, the processing on this is really quite simple, all I've done is drop the exposure back a little and boost the blacks, as that's given me the silhouette look, I've done this because at the moment the foreground is just a brown field of soil with northing showing up as growing, I also boosted both virbrance and saturation by about 5-10 percent, finally it is a custom white balance raised to about 6700k

I hope that helps and I'm pleased that you like the image

Day 84 - Improved Skill

I think that this photo show the improvement that I've made photographically in the last 12 months, since that this photo is the same location that I did only my second proper star trail a little under 12 months ago

84/366 (439) by mwhcvt, on Flickr

This is 180 x 20 second exposures @ f/5.6 ISO400 this was a real challenge that I set myself as I did the trail while the church was still fully illuminated by sodium flood lights

HERE you go mate, as I said it's a fair distance for you, as it's down in my part of the world, though we do have another Derbyshire resident attending

Fair enough  I appreciate it's a fair old distance for you ;)

Day 85 - Windmill Wonder

Tonight with a number of other TPer's I attended Chesterton Windmill to have a bit of star trail fun  this was shot with my fish eye lens and as such shows of a little bit of the distortion that you get with this lens :D

I'm very pleased with this as I've just managed to get polaris into frame :D and to top it off I've managed to capture an iridium flare :D

85/366 (450) by mwhcvt, on Flickr

This is made up of around 220 x 30 seconds exposures @ f/4 ISO800
