Love the jelly babies shot!
I'm impressed that you're doing another 365 for 2012. I decided that 2 years was enough for me and I'm aiming for a 52 next year :)

Thanks Ben, this is my first year of a 365 so I thought that I would do it again next year :D I can understand your reluctance as I know from this year just the kind of commitment it is, but I'm feeling that I will miss it if I wasn't doing it, plus I have developed so much as a photographer thanks to this 365 :D also my brother in law a fellow TPer is going to join me in the challenge doing his first Photo a Day challenge

 good creative shot

The leading lady would be headless if in this house. Love the red ones & always chew the head off first !!

Would love to see a wide pic of the set up used for pics like this (if possible please)

Thanks Viv, I love the red ones too and I have to confess to having ate a few while setting up :naughty:

I sort out a set up picture soon as I've done a few with this set up know

308 - a nice still dash, you should have told him to drive straight though

309 - Spot on exposure

310 - Fantastic, getting better and better Matt

My mum was driving :D but this particular one was taken on Coventry's Ring Road so a little hard to drive straight

The fireworks were not as good as I was expecting if I'm honest

I'm pleased you like my lastest light painting efforts

Day - Vine to the Wine

The weather has been rather inclement today, I also been very busy, so this evening I needed to make myself five minutes to get my POTD as you can see I've done a little bit more painting, hopefully make time to get out tomorrow

Hi Matt, great work with the jelly babies! Great subject! And my favourite sweets.

I'm pleased that you like it  I'm getting a little bit obsessed with the old light painting at the moment, mainly down to royally rubbish weather :bang:

thats it Matt... i'm pouring myself a vat of cooking sherry before i turn in... those grapes are good enough to lick off the screen and the wine is something that could only look better in a glass held by a beautiful woman... and as i haven't got a glass nor a beautiful woman to hand..i'll settle for your POTD!!!

Thanks Kev, very much appreciated  I have to be honest, it took a lot of restraint on my part not to open it and enjoy a glass :naughty:

Love the wine shot. A creative idea even without much time to plan it.

I'll do another 365 in the future, but probably when I live in a different location. :)

Honestly I was looking round the house for an ideal subject and as soon as I found the grapes I knew what I should do :naughty: I understand you feelings in relation to another 365 it's a really daunting challenge, I've found this year blooming hard, so to know it's going to happen all over again next year is scary

Day 312 - Take you Pick

The full fruit salad, done to make it looks a 3D as possible, this is not perfect, I need to go out and get a new sheet of card as this one is now getting a little tarnished and I'm not happy with my fix to it in PP so will go an by a new sheet at the weekend  I may even get a couple of colours :naughty:

Thanks Dave, I think that your right, there is a little too much space above but such is life, I've but a thread up in the creative section so I will do an edit to take some space out  and I like your idea  will see what I can do :D

Matt

Hi Matt, nice picture of the fruit, agree with the space on top.

Thanks Michael, you can see a differnet version of this image HERE  I'm pleased that you like it

Day 313 - Always Changing

The light is always changing, but then so do my plan's these evening I had planned to drive to a local country park and capturing a panoramic sunset view of Warwickshire, but access to the park was not possible as the road to it was closed :bang: so had to find a back up plan

Those of you that are familiar with my 365 will remember I've been to this location before, but this time I wanted to use the same view but process the photo's very differently to my previous visit

Looks perfect to me mate. Composition works. DOF is excellent, and light painted too!?

off topic slightly; I spent an hour at a church last night at about 8pm. The moon was bright, a clear night. I could notget one decent picture.

F8 ish, at least a minute, ISO200.

Changing the settings, I just couldn't get the balance between a blown sky, and a dark church. Even tried paiting it with a torch - no good. :(

Any further tips?

Nope no light painting here, this was all about flash :D were you facing the moon, this is not a good idea unless the church is illuminated, try doing it with the moon behind you, that will light the church up for you and stop the sky from blowing

Like the polos Matt. Great compisition and a good product shot.

Thanks it worked well :D

I'm not sure Matt..... There's....there's just something missing in the middle...

   very good

Day 315 - Lest we forget...

"They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old: Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning, We will remember them."

Pictured is the Stretton-on-Dunsmore War Memorial.

Inscribed on the Memorial

"Here in the centre of England where Telford's coaching road from London to Holyhead is crossed by the Roman Fosse Way on the 12th of March 1915 His Majesty King George V reviewed his troops of the immortal XXIX Division shortly before they embarked for active service in Gallipoli. In memory of their stay in Warwickshire 1914-15 and their incomparable services since, the avenue on this road was replanted and this monument built by inhabitants of the county"
