I can imagine there are things that everyone misses from this country when they leave but then thinking of the photo opportunities that you now have I'm sure that most would be very envious :D

I'm pleased that you like it

Day 306 - My Muse

Well it's about I showed a decent image of my back garden :D it has featured in a number of my 365 images and looking at the conditions and the wonderful golden colours of all the tree's I thought that it was the perfect time to show you my muse :D

Thanks Scott, I would like to say it involved a lot of work :naughty: and maybe it did as it's taken me 306 days to take a decent image of the garden to show it how I love it

That's a cracker. The light painting I about spot on. The background is black!! Or was that pp ?

Obviously the 365 in the toast is quality too

This is almost entirely SOOC there is a tiny little bit of cloning where there were a couple of marks on the plate, and I tidyed up a few hot pixels :D but no this is all from light painting

But do you know how the 365 was achieved

Matt

I bet that went down well with a nice cuppa, nice pic Matt,

Well this was the second slice  the first once I did I buttered but then I ate it before I could take a photo  :exit: I'm pleased you like it

Matt

Great shot Matthew, I was inspired by your things that I attempted some light painting an object myself with a little twist. See my thread in General Images if your interested :)

...toast.... looks so good... i could ..eat it... please... !!

Thank you, Anytime your in the area Kev your welcome to some toast  thought depending on the time of day I'd rather have a

Thanks Ben, I'll take a look  thought if it's light painting that's what the nice new creative section is all about  I'm very pleased to have been an inspiration to try out something new

Hiya Matt,

Just realised I missed some of the photos the other night .... .... the wine must have run out

Anyhow, here is a quick catch up on those I missed and the latest:

Day 302: You do a great job with capturing these rugby action shots so I can see why they request you to tog for them. Wow that chap has some big biceps, he looks like a real rugby player.

Day 303: Nice shot, pity about the catch light as you say. Definitely works well in b&w, especially as it means the longer darkness due to the change of time. Like how you have captured the motion of the second hand.

Day 304: Jaffa Cakes (yum! yum!) they look very tempting :D Nice lighting.

Day 305: Beautiful! Now that is a photo that shouts England to me. Love the bright colours.

Day 306: Wow that is a stunning garden! Lovely colours and sky in this one.

Day 307: Excellent idea! Great lighting, pity about the slight shadow .... so how did you get the numbers on? Did you use a knife to scrape the toast?

I love how you have always managed to find something creative to photograph and I can see you vastly developed your knowledge and skill during the year.

I can't wait to see your shot 365, which I am sure will be the pièce de résistance. Have you got any ideas as to what you might do for the last shot?

Great work Matt

Cheers

Must have been some good wine  I could do with some now

I do enjoy the rugby, but this new season I've struggled to get the enthusiasm to go and do it so the request was a good kick up the arse to get out there

Yeah the JC's were picked as the subject just for the mod's  there's even a thread in the creative forum

I'm pleased you like the phone box scene most in it's own thread seemed not not  but I did so that's all that matters to me

I love my garden it was about time I showed where all those photo's from this challenge have come from

To get the numbers on is actually quite easy  it's just a case of compressing the areas that you want to keep light  I used the end of one of my watercolour brushes :D

I have some ideas for my POTD365 but I'm still working out some of the logistics of the image, I can promise so long as the weather god's shine on me it will be quite spectacular

 actually tbh it was the same as what Kev's (aka SamuelSlade007) infamous 'cooking sherry' :D ..... potent stuff

You defo have to keep up the rugby shots, they are great.

Do you also do paintings (ref to watercolour brush)?

I am really looking forward to your POTD365, and I hope the weather gods shine for you that day.

Cheers

I've been know to get my easel out and dabble with the water colours, though honestly since getting into photography I've not got the watercolour stuff out of the bag :bang: I only get my painting stuff out when my niece is at my house now, I must get it out more often

I know what you mean .... I used to do quite a bit of painting myself .... glass painting and calligraphy art ... but since getting into photography it seems to consume all my time and there is so much to learn still.

Cheers

Love the toast shot, Matt.
Great idea.
Also I agree that I definitely have different photo opportunities, but I do miss places in the UK that I would love to shoot now that I have an SLR camera.

One question though, are you going to do a 2nd year of 365? :)

Day 308 - Pedal to the Metal

Well tonight I had the luxury on not having to drive so finally I had the opportunity to try out in car long exposures :D

These are not perfect, but I'm relatively pleased with them :D
