OK all, What is the must have Accessory, what have you found the most valuable in terms of, cost, ease of use, how many times you have used it, how it helped your photography

from a filter

to photo shop

what ever was the most invaluable piece of equipment no matter how small of expensive, it must be Canon related if a fitting, or any general multi purpose Accessory if not a canon fitting, even if it was for Poser value.

Regards Mark....

Canon related? A lump hammer!

In general terms, my Manfrotto 190 ProB with it's 322 head, although the neoprene neck strap is used every time the camera comes out of the bag. Other neckstraps (and, indeed, bags) work just as well but the tripods that the 190 replaced simply couldn't do the job competently.

battery grip - obviously never leaves the camera but so handy when constantly changing from landscape to portrait.

Flash.

Used to scare the heck out of me, now I would not be without it. (At least one if not more)

My new grip is proving must have, makes the camera feel a lot more sturdy and also makes people think im a pro :p

For work I would have to say lightroom, without out it working with my client would be a nightmare. Although making her use it is still hard...

The Rocket Air blower has been great value for money for me. My 2nd DSLR in 3/4 years, and I haven't had to clean a sensor yet. :D

My circular polariser is the accessory that is used the most as it is constantly on the end of my lens.

battery grip - obviously never leaves the camera but so handy when constantly changing from landscape to portrait.

I'd agree with that. It balances it all out for me and makes it much more comfortable to hold for long periods.

After thinking about this for all of 2 minutes it has to be my Lowepro Vertex AW backpack. It's my mobile office and in use every day.

Coming a close 2nd would be a choice between those nifty pen lens cleaners and my monopod.

my 19 year old Son,good with a camera,awesome with a computer

Tripod, no question. The most useful accessory, and it adds more to the quality of output imo, than anything else!!

additional memory cards, closely followed by a additional flash batteries - sad but true

Definitely my battery grip.. only thing I wish could be changed on it, is the button sensitivity.. you can basically rest your finger on it and it will start shooting even though it still has more distance to travel down.

Regards, James

It's a no brainer for me - gimbal head!

For me, it's extensions tubes...both the reduce the MFD of the long primes and the usual macro boost.

Tripod, Lightroom, spare batteries and memory cards. The Lowepro bag I've got is nice for having everything in one place, but could get by without it.

Giottos Rocket Blower with out a doubt... The demon of the dust bunnies. Best £10 ever spent and used all the time.

Nigel

Storm Cover, allows me to continue shooting when most people have given up.

I will 2nd, 3rd, 4th and even 5th the vote for the Giottos rocket blower, an absolute essential. Great toy as well.

Top accessories would be my rocket blower and large micro fibre cleaning cloth that came with my dell 24" monitor, closely followed by my 24" monitor.

Right index finger - nah probably my tripod which I have used and abused for over 2 years but still does a great job.

:)
