I am stuck in the grunge era regarding music and for the best part I am happy with that but I am finding my almost snobbish attitude sometimes toward modern artists is making me miss some good stuff... so lets share, year 2k and above please..

one of my recommendations is Foy Vance, absolutely superb he is IMO, think he is on the verge of making it huge being on Ed Sheerans record label and supporting Elton John.

Foy Vance is excellent, agreed. He's been "on the verge of breaking through" for years, sadly. I've seen him twice supporting Bonnie Raitt and both times he blew the audience away, but he's never really gone mainstream. Maybe the Ed Sheerhan connection might help.

Stuck in that era is fine, love listening to a bit of kisstory when I'm in the garage

Though I may get shot down in flames......Muse.

Miss 600 and of course Caro Emerald.

M83 are excellent. Royksopp, death in Vegas, goldfrapp, chemical brothers, cut copy, are all worth a listen.

It's very easy to get stuck in one era.

Julien Baker - I'm really into her album at the moment. Maybe not your bag, but worth a listen I'd say.

A few other recommendations that I've been enjoying of late

Cigarettes After Sex
Woods
Turnover
Allah-Lahs
Daughter
Manchester Orchestra
TOPS

All with an indie/acoustic or shoegaze vibe to them.

Tim Muddiman and the Strange are decent, very creative and make music they want to not what they are told to! just about to 'make it', hopefully.
