music recommendations year 2000 and above

I am stuck in the grunge era regarding music and for the best part I am happy with that but I am finding my almost snobbish attitude sometimes toward modern artists is making me miss some good stuff... so lets share, year 2k and above please..

one of my recommendations is Foy Vance, absolutely superb he is IMO, think he is on the verge of making it huge being on Ed Sheerans record label and supporting Elton John.

I can't stop listening to the two Paul Heaton & Jacqui Abbott albums. He's such a talented song writer and their voices just work so well together.

Foy Vance is excellent, agreed. He's been "on the verge of breaking through" for years, sadly. I've seen him twice supporting Bonnie Raitt and both times he blew the audience away, but he's never really gone mainstream. Maybe the Ed Sheerhan connection might help.

I must be a similar age as you. I don't follow music like a used to but I do have some albums from 2000 onwards on my player.
Sujan Stevens - Illinois and Anthony and the Johnson's - I am a bird now get the most listens I love them both.

M83 are excellent. Royksopp, death in Vegas, goldfrapp, chemical brothers, cut copy, are all worth a listen.

It's very easy to get stuck in one era.
