My god this match just keeps twisting and turning....

God sure I have gone greyer as this match goes on !!!!!!!!

5:2 -It's gonna happen folks !!!!!!!

Hope so Andy deserves it, he has been the nearly man long enough.

Unknown territory for him now but I've everything crossed

who the hell is going to get sports personality of the year now then:shrug:

Never seen the American crowd so much on Andys side.

Yay !!!!!!!

Probably the best match I've seen !

He has done it, utterly brilliant WELL DONE ANDY

Just got row from wife for waking her up after cheering when Andy won lol

I am sure you lot already knew this, but this is quoted from the BBC text earlier, talk about getting the timings right....

If you're a fan of the British number one and have been searching all afternoon for a good omen then I think you may need to take a seat before reading what I'm about to type. Seventy-nine years ago, on 10 September, Fred Perry, seeded third, won the US National Championships to secure his inaugural Grand Slam win. In glorious sunshine, the Brit beat the second seed Jack Crawford, the then reigning Australian Open champion. Today, on 10 September, Andy Murray, the third seed... need I go on?

Two million dollars - a 1DX and a hair cut !

He looks better than he did after a few glasses of wine when he and Alex Ferguson gate crashed his press conference yesterday lol

Got into trouble from the gaffer as there was a small crowd gathered round my phone:D.Got to say well done though I thought he was gonna blow it.

This years sports personality award will be interesting

Simply awesome..... Well done Andy Murray :-)

I woke up expecting to be disappointed, but instead I jumped around the room clenching my fists rather quietly so I didn't wake anyone else up. Absolutely made up for him.

 Congratulations to Andy Murray 2012 US Open Champion , sounds brilliant.

After the Olympics and Paralympics what a way to round off a fantastic summer of sport.

He's mint he is!

Fantastic result.

Pretty pathetic that the final minutes at least are not available on the BBC website, just a rubbish audio clip and some stills (I bet they would have managed if it was that Henman fella).

Good on ya Andy!
