I have a Canon 450D and would like to get a flash, speedlite i guess but would a jessops cheapy be just as good for a beginner?

Now i would also like a multi flash set up which i presume i would need triggers too, so what are my options being as im not made of money.

Cheers Paul

Cheapest option, if you're using the likes of the Jessops 360AFD is to trigger the remote flashes optically from your 450D's onboard flash, using their built in slaves.

Looks like a good cheap option for a beginner thanks.

As I have said before on many a same thread, any flash and cheap triggers.

These triggers were three for £35 on ebay and have worked in all weathers

Here on my Canon are a Canon dedicated Metz, a metz hammerhead and a NIKON flash on the right

Does the Jessops 360 have a slave mode that ignores pre-flashes? If not, and I'm not sure it does, then it won't fire in sync as you can't disable the pre-flash on a 450D.

So you need a radio trigger, eg Yongnuo RF-602 from Amazon.

Iirc it's just a single slave mode on the 360afd, so if the pre-flash can't be disabled then that's no use. The YongNuo flashes have a slave mode that ignores the pre-flash though, so they would do the job.

Havinf said that, by buying YN-460-IIs instead of the Jessops flashes there would be enough spare change for a set of RF-602s......:D

See this is where i start to get confused, can one of you kind gents link me to what i need, im after 2 flashes that i can sync with the camera.
