Mull wildlife

VERY NICE!!! What lens did you use? I got some snaps where one actually had a guillemot in it's tallons. Trouble is its quite a distance away and once cropped and zoomed it's not very sharp, unlike your very nice shot... Well done!

600 F4 with a 1.4 converter on it :)

I didnt get a guillemot, but did get a shag ;)

it's been years since I've been to Mull - we used to go on holiday every year for about 10 years. we used to see otters at ballygown bay where we stayed, but also at another beach (which the name has escaped me).
might try and go back this year :)

Thanks all for you're info and photo's:thumbs:. Really looking forward to going this weekend. :)

I'll post the some images when I get back :D

I had an excellent time on Mull, thanks everyone for your help . I couldn't make it to all the suggested locations, the exhaust on my car is hung very low couldn't handle all the roads, forcing me to turn back on loch spelve.

So we headed for Lochbuie just to have a look and what a treat. Chaffinchs and blackbird taking bread from our hands :D:D Totally unexpected and all the more pleasing for it.

Did not have to much luck with otters, although we did get within about 5 meters of one otter, neither me nor my better half where in a position to take any worth while photos :( The experience was still exhilarating.

Here's a list of what we saw, It's not complete, but a good estimate of what we saw. The only animal we had to work for was the otter.
