Yes
Anyone here going to the event? I'm hoping to go - it would be nice to meet some fellow TP'ers and maybe exchange some tips on shooting there.

I'll be there!

Cool! Can we arrange to meet up perhaps when we are there? I'm a newbie to motorsport would appreciate some tips - btw my longest lens is 200mm on a crop body hope thats usable!

200mm will be fine. I presume you have another body than the D700 (being a full frame body).

I will be there too, i think our day gets pretty boring after lunch and thats when it basically turns into a test day. Perhaps a Lunchtime meet at the Cafe in the pits?

Thanks Nick, yes I have a gripped D7000 too which I'l be bringing. Meet sounds good to me.

Are there specific interesting locations to shoot from at Brands or is it quite restricted?

I'm happy to pass my mobile no. on so we can arrange get together. Very excited :)

will you be doing the tracking shots again this year??

I have somehow been invited  so if you see someone looking like he shouldn't be there, that'll be me ;)

Mere mortals aren't doing tracking shots this time..just Jacob...aka his holiness ;-)

I think i did a very vague (and now out of date) guide to brands hatch a few years back. Have a search and it should come up. It is a pretty decent circuit for shots if you don't mind pushing up against a fence. The inside of Druids is a good spot with less Catch fencing.

Looking forward to what effect the restyled Druids run off has on drivers confidence and their cars willing to stop before the barrier.

I'm there too. Getting up at 3.45am doesn't appeal - am taking two cars along as well as myself. :-/

I'm only taking one car, so rolling out of bed at 8am :lol::lol:

Yes, easy peesy, just walk round the outside edge and at Druids there is a bridge on the entry side of the hairpain that takes you to the middle.

PS am up for Nick's idea of a lunchtime meet at the pitlane cafe - just need to make sure my article/photos gets off before that though, we're working "live" tommorow to hit deadlines :-/

Saw lots of other 'togs' but as I have no idea what any of you look like I just kept out of everyone's way.

.DAVID.
