Mpg what do you get ?

I worked mine out based on what I payed last.

Fuel cost was £1.32.9

My mpg 30mpg and my car is a 53 plate Toyota celica vvti 1.8

averaged 58 on the way back from portsmouth the other night, that was sensible cruising speed. it can be a lot less.. lol

mk4 ibiza tdi 130. looking to sneek a remap in soon..

I had an EVO 8 , FQ400, Sold it after 4 months before I killed myself.

Very nice - I was up at top gear when then put it up against the Murciealago....... seem to remember 4mpg with Jezza thacking it....

As to OP - 62 mpg is the two year average of the punto (1.3 Multijet) - approx 50% rural and 50% city driving. Previous car was a 1.2 Mk 1 sporting and 38mpg - similar commute, similar driving style.

Ironically at work we have 2 identical pool cars - except colour - 1.6 TDCi foci....

I regularly go from Norwich to Stratford upon Avon and back in either......... and being a saddo I work out mpg etc....

The dark blue one on average is approx 7mpg less than the silver one.... That's based on full to full and about 5 trips in each since March.

i normally get aroung 45-55mpg in my astra sri 1.9cdti 150, and thats with a heavy right foot lol

eeeekkk managed to average 14mpg at donington on a monday evening track session i have had it down to 10mpg at snetterton .normal road abuse is around 26mpg it's a mk 4 golf gti t running around 230bhp which makes it fun

27 round town and 38 on a run but i have had 17mpg showing on the instant mpg on the computer
mini cooper s running 212bhp

Just took mine for a quick spin and snapped a quick picture :)

I average about 57mpg per tank, commuting on A Roads to and from work with some spells in traffic.

Citroen Xsara 2.0 HDI Estate with 173k on the clock :gag:

35-50, depending how many tourists are out. Keep it in the VTEC range and you can watch the gauge move, yet the speedo doesn't seem to move in an equal and opposite manner...

Worst MPG blasting along fast A and B roads was 19 best at the moment is 32.7 but not done a long motorway run yet (BMW 335D)

Best 24 miles to gallon down to about 17 when I have a play. mazda RX8. Or drive the wifes old ford ka and get almost 35 to the gallon.

This is the thread were I get to annoy everyone and they don't believe me.

Nissan Micra 1.5 DCI 82ps

On a motorway run from Bolton to Warwick last month 106 MPG, my normal monthly average of going to work and the usual weekend run around stuff the I get just over 70 MPG

As they say, it's not what you drive but how you drive

I can get anywhere from 9-40mpg depending if I use my right foot gently and considerately or stomp on the loud pedal and leave it there. more usually about 33mpg on a long run and 25ish round town. Car is a Honda Integra type-R so relatively sensible 1.8l NA engine with 170k on it.

9mpg sound frightening but when you trying that hard 4 tanks of fuel would be (£55x4) about £220, in that time I'd also get through a set of tyres (about £400) and probably get most of the way through my front brakes :) That is what you call a fun day out though!

I get 44 mpg out of my fiat panda, but have the added benefit of an lpg conversion which means i get the equivilent of 80mpg in monetary terms!!

Wise man. Can I ask how much the conversion cost, or was it already converted when you bought it?

On a decent r un and being sensible, I get around 41 from the Citroen Xsara Picasso - that's both calculated and according to the trip computer. lob in some more general use and it drops to about 38. SWMBO's MX5 turns in around 25 however it's used, as did my last Landy (a 90, 200 Tdi). Still not done the calculations for the bike, although now it's a year old, it should be as loose as it'll ever be! Unfortunately, it doesn't have a trip meter so will need to carry a notebook to jot down mileage as well as the qmount of fuel I put in. The blurb suggests mid 70s but it does have to carry an above average load!

About 10 mpg on a run and 8 around town/short journeys :gag:

Vehicle: 1996 3.9l V8 Discovery Automatic running on LPG

2009 nissan micra 1.2....im getting 48mpg around town and with full comp insurance at £320 year its been all about economy, but its so boring so im leaning on trading it for a newer shape MX5.......depending on my insurance quote

Should really know this but just fill up when needed. Have started to car share going to work now works a treat.

Ive got a Skoda 1.4 tdi 80 bhp 3 cylinder and overall in the last year i average about 76mpg, on my way to work 5 mile level journey at 5am if the lights are with me all the way i can average 108mpg, motorway driving above 70mph makes a big dent though (3 cylinder engine) get about 48pmg if im doing 70mph or over

Should add that i have one of these fitted http://www.tdi-tuning.co.uk/ these are pre configured to give the best performance with a good mpg increase but ive moved the jumper on mine to increase fuel economy and give less of a performance increase.

Cost me £1400 and repaid itself in 18 months given the milage I was doing at the time.
