Today I've been out playing in the new Micra supercharger being launched soon on the way to the Hawk Conservancy in Andover, about 60 miles round trip, with cruise on at 65mph for the bulk of the way I finished up at 75.7mpg, not bad for a 1.2 petrol with the climate going full blat :)

What do guys on here get...
 
Best i've had out of my Passat TDI was 62.3, drove like a vicar though. Worst I've had was 12.9 in my Octavia VRS, drove it like a Banshee.
 
I usually get 50-60mpg on a good run, not sure what it does buzzing around town. (Focus 1.8 TDCi.)

I have a W reg Nissan 200 SX Touring which I've owned from new.

Worst tankful ever - 27 mpg
Typical average - 30 mpg
Typical long run - 35 mpg
Best tankful ever - 40 mpg

36 mpg on a run and 28/30 mpg towing our caravan mostly motorway driving. Not sure around town but have always said very good on fuel. 06 Landrover Freelander 2.0 TD4.

I've considered it but, well, I just don't feel the need to go any faster these days. I'm happy enough with my oil-burner as it is. :shrug:

29mpg from my Navara 2.5td.
45mpg+ from the other halfs A3 1.9td.
 
25 and it doesn't seem to matter how I drive and be it motorway or town. At least that's what the computer tells me.:lol:
 
Usually mid 50s but 64 mpg today. Which was better than expected as I *cough* hammered it a bit today due to the M4 closure and having to make a long diversion.

I also filled up this morning at £1.21 :D
 
I get 51mpg on a commute in my Octavia VRS TDI.

Ryan - What is the output from a supercharged Micra?
 
Citroen C4 1.6 diesel 90bhp = 70+mpg and £20pa road tax!!
 
High 30s from the fiesta, anything between 15 and 25 in the Honda, I didn't buy it to worry about fuel consumption, so many other things to be concerned about that my car is for pleasure.

You may well find that if you have it chipped/remapped, the engine won't have to work so hard and driving can be alot more relaxed.

58-60mpg. Mondeo ST TDCi, decat, MIJ mid sport performance exhaust, Airtec intercooler, Forge Motorsport silicone boost hoses and induction pipe, AmD remap. 190bhp & 326.5 lb/ft torque, I'd probably get more but I just can't resist opening it up from time to time. Get's over 700 miles per tank with ease before the fuel light comes on.:thumbs:
 
30-ish running around, 35 on a good run. Mazda 6 2.3 petrol.
 
4.0 Jaguar XK8 V8, 20mpg round town if I'm careful, 32mpg on a recent 180 mile run at 65mph and as low as 8mpg when the lamp posts move fast
 
No idea. When it needs more diesel I just fill it up.
Knowing would depress me and wouldn't achieve anything.
 
Get about 15 but then I guess that is my choice to modify the car the way I have. Is my vice :)
 
Prefer fruit salads :)

I used to have an Evo (had most fast cars to be honest!); was never that fond of it - Subaru is a far better car IMO.
 
lol - The one I had was totally brutal - far to erratic on throttle and out of control ; was like a switch - on or off.
 
I had an EVO 8 , FQ400, Sold it after 4 months before I killed myself.
 
Doubt that when you tried to insure it -:)

100bhp, 106nm torque, not a neck breaker by any means although feels nippy and comfy on the motorway. It's setup more for economy/emissions more than anything else. I never thought I would say I was very impressed with a micra! It's a great little car for what it is but this one is something else...

Sounds pretty impressive - learned to drive in Micra :)

I do have the neck breaking power now - but if fuel and insurance prices keep going the way they are I can see me getting something sensible.

I will miss the 480lbs of torque mind you :lol:

I have a Nissan Qashqai 1.5 dci on a 60 plate, mostly motorway driving. cruise set at 71mph and I am getting an average of 44mpg, doing a lot of miles 9k since mid may, just seems on the low side.
 
Worst 15 mpg in the skyline in winter round town.
Best. 35 mpg in current 10 year old Alfa Spider which is more expensive to insure than a modded group 20 car. Pfft. Can only guess by the gauge and trip meter. Can't be bothered being sad enough to brim it and work it out.

Borrowed a clattering bmw diesel which did 50 ish mpg but I wanted to keep driving it into a wall to make the noise stop.

If you have a car that is so hateful to drive that you resent every drop of fuel it is wasted. Much rather drive something good and not waste any.

Seen a lovely 1000bhp capable gtr. A snip at £25k. Just need the £25k and the same again for fuel for the year ;)

How often do you check it? The new DPF engines purge themselves intermittently which will drastically drop the mpg intermittently.
