yes, they're good, search 'mpb' for loads of threads praising them.

Yes lots of times, they are a member on here and they are great. The item is usually with you straight away and the prices are fantastic.

I would also say that they overestimate the damage on cameras. All of the items I have purchased have been stated as well used with scratches, and they looked almost NEW!

Yes, twice for nearly £800. Items very honestly descibed and great service.

Used them a few times, like many others on here. Great service, quick delivery too. I've bought a few things from them now.

Loads of people have used them with satisfaction. Where did you hear about them?

I traded my D300s in for a D700 there and was very pleased with the quick turnaround, great service and a good p/x price IMO.

Yes, bought a Giottos tripod off them a while ago. Arrived promptly and exactly as described.
Just a shame they don't list Olympus stuff:( (on the other hand, it's probably just as well)

Bought quite a few items off them without any issues at all, usually at a cheaper price than second hand kit on here and the goods have always been much better than described. Really quick service, good communication.

One of the first places I look when searching for any new kit.

Excellent service, excellent kit, excellent prices. Can't fault them.

So it was you who nabbed that 8360B then ;) Hope you're enjoying the Giottos.

To the OP - you can buy from MPB with the utmost confidence. Shipping is fast and secure. What you buy today really does turn up the next day

Why would you want to go to Jacobs when most of the feedback here is a thumbs up for MPB.If they havn't got what you are looking for on the web site list, make contact for your wish list.

I have used them spending some £1800 thus far on various things, with no probs, + a warrantry.

If i had one issue it would be , I wish the phone service was a little more pleasant / happier...

What about Jacobs? They any good?

Jacobs unlike MPB are a bricks n mortar outfit in addition to being a chain. Hence you can drop in, browse and play till your heart's content or until your welcome runs out!! I had a look at a 1D3 some months back. It was well-priced but their trade-ins are not as competitive reflecting as expected, the cost of running high street operations. When asked if the 1D3 had live view they said no but as we know here and as I suspected, it did. Then again, nobody knows everything I suppose.

If you are trading in, you'll get a better offer from MPB. Just as an example, I would have received around £1100 for my 5D2 from MPB while Jacobs's top offer was something around £700. Big difference I dare say.

On used gear, you won't go wrong with either and as reported earlier, I have been happy with all my purchases from MPB and they have never failed to turn up on time.

Hope this helps

My first DSLR and most recent lens purchase was through MPB Photographic. I have no doubt that I will buy from them again. Transactions have always been smooth and the service, super quick.

Just to reiterate what others have said, I have used MPB only once with excellent services and I will use them again. I purchased a 1Ds II from them while I was out of the country. The deal was concluded over the phone and all went as stated - 5*

Another vote for them +1

Bought my 17-55 f2.8 from mph and they were great. Good communication and fast transaction. Accurate goods description too.
