I was referring to MPB! there is no time requirement with them!
easy mistake given the lack of info in your question.

I thought you was referring to the classifieds section on hereI would say another box. They'll want the camera box in good condition to sell surely.
Follow_journey said:Would have been helpful to have spoken to a sales advisor, but they insist on all of the contact over email. Wish I kept that original box that I received it in lol!
What happens when you phone the number on their website, is it just an answer phone?
They are talking about a strong well packed box for posting the camera in so that it doesn't get damaged.
If you don't have the original box just make sure you wrap the camera in plenty of bubblewrap and put it into a strong cardboard box, filling the spaces with more bubblewrap or other filling material.
Used them a couple of times and found them good to deal with .
I have the original box, but not another cardboard box. Apart from the Walkers box we have at home lol. Loads of bubble wrap though.
Put the original box in the Walkers box, and fill the rest of the Walkers box with bubble wrap / old newspaper. MPB are paying the transport cost, so the weight / size of the parcel is of no concern to you. What matters is that the kit arrives in the best possible condition.
I wonder if they by bacs or a chaps payment???
It seems to be same day that they check the equipment, so not a BACS payment.
I did a large order with them last week and everything turned up in better condition than I was expecting. Selling a lens to them this week also which I no longer need so I'll give some feedback on how that goes.
Which lens are you selling?
Which lens are you selling?
Nikon AF 300 F4 (old 1987-2000 model) as I want more reach and that doesn't accept TC's. I'll see how things go!
BIIIIIIG issue. They've emailed me saying they quoted me for the wrong product (newer AF-S version) and asked for photos. I've sent them to them yesterday and not heard anything else back. The lens is due to be picked up tomorrow by their courier, so what the hell do I do now then?
Great company to buy from, but thats one royal **** up if I ever saw one.
That's surprising, considering the AF-S sells for around twice the price of the AF - did the presumably high quote not ring alarm bells with you?
I'm not 100% on what either lens is worth so I didn't know what to expect quote wise. Even so, it was clearly stated as being the AF version and I even put the manufacturing date in the description. None of thats my fault, its just the person who was dealing with it obviously didn't read it properly. Looks like I'll have to turn the courier away tomorrow as theres no chance I'm sending a lens off with no quote on it.
As a VERY rough guide, you can expect around 1/2 to 2/3 of the new price on current kit as a trade in (top condition, boxed etc.) and about 2/3 the dealer's selling price on other kit (again, top condition, boxed etc.).
When possible, e-mail photos of the items, clearly showing model numbers etc - avoids confusion.
Cool, thanks.
Hi,
Just to clarify, on all purchases we require the details to be entered securely into our system as per the link you have been sent in the email (this is also in the collection confirmation email).
This ensures that we definitely have the correct details for payment, and there are no potential errors from typos on the form, hand writing or similar.
If you can follow the link today your payment will be issued to clear today.
Thanks,
MPB
I sent a request for a sigma lens and was very surprised they offer the same for cash as for a trade in on another product. That seemed a bit odd. You usually get more if you trade for another product.
