Ah! So that was two separate posts! At least you can’t blame MPB for DPD’s shortcomings.

10 days from sending to get the money in the account,I got the obligaory email, we are behind, expected quite a wait.

'' At least you can’t blame MPB for DPD’s shortcomings.''

in fact, MPB were exemplary. Re-booking DPD swiftly and keeping me advised of progress by several emails

Interesting different experiences.!
a collection courier is booked for today......selling a W/A lens for a good quoted price

fingers crossed :)
a bit disappointed

MPB reduced their £107 quote by £20 quoting '' internal moisture haze ''

hard to believe as always stored in a dry room..in fact, a hardly used.

I accepted their revised quote but I'm uneasy about sending more lens for a quote

I find their condition descriptions to be very poor.
I recently did a trade and got reasonable prices for the equipment I sent in, plus an 'uplift' but what I bought as "Excellent" was a car crash and was returned.
I asked about an alternative which was listed as "Like New" and was told it just had paint missing on one corner!
On questioning why it was listed as "Like New" with this defect and I was told that it was wrong and would be rectified - it"s still there today, marked as "Like New" with the same premium in price.

You shouldn't have accepted that.

I had 2 lenses on 2 separate occasions get marked down by WEX for exactly that supposed issue.

I put it down to coming straight off a cold van and not have had time acclimatise when in their building.

I had them returned and surprise surprise, no moisture.

Same with WEX.
They wanted to mark a lens down last week by £40 because of moisture, got it back and to no surprise there is zero moisture.

To be fair though they did offer me exactly as quoted on the rest of my kit but I suspect the warehouse where products are stored and inspection rooms have different ambient temperatures and are not being allowed to adjust properly when being inspected.

perhaps WEX should be advised cos I see this worrying 'excuse' from various shops as profiteering
