Have any one used mpb? what were they like to deal with service ect. I have always been a bit afraid to buy a 2nd hand camera but they seem to offer a six month warranty no doubt if there is a problem with the camera they fix it with a third party repairer? any one good or bad cheers

Have bought and sold through MPB and would heartily recommend that you consider so doing. Excellent service, fair prices both ways.

I have used MPB a couple of times over the past year for secondhand bits. The goods have always been exactly as described and delivery has been quick.Very pleased:)

Used them plenty of times before in the past, they are great and normally next day delivery all the time. Never had a problem with any of the gear and he always describes the condition worse than it turns out.
I bought something that was described as having lots of scratches, very worn and used. When it arrived it looked like it was brand new pretty much :)

But I'm in the process of PX'ing something at the moment aswell, which we agreed on a great price both ways.

nothing but great service from them, highly recomend them.

YEP, Its a  from me too, excellent service, fast and always as discribed....

I've used MPB several times and couldn't recommend them highly enough :)

Used them twice recently with no problems at all. Always on their site checking out the Nikon lenses :D

and me. :)

Bought my 1DsII from them and had absolutely no regrets.

I've used MPB, recommended them to others and we've all had excellant service.
If anything, their descriptions are often too critical of the goods and I've been presently surprised how good the items bought from them have been.

Even when I messed them about when nearly buying a 70-200 lens from them (I got offered a 30 min used one, cheaper) they were totally understanding about it and told me to buy that one :D

No Regrets? You sold up to buy Nikon gear :P

Bought, sold and Part ex with then in the past,:thumbs: very quick to respond, and quality stuff, Matt is friendly and helpful if you call him as well.

I've bought two lenses, two flashes and a tripod from them, all at great prices and great service. The only problem is that some of the really good bargains disappear very quickly, so I have to keep checking the site, terrified I may miss something.

I've used them and been extremely pleased on the buy side. Thought I could do better on the sell side privately though. As the above poster says, check it all the time, it's amazing how quickly the good stuff goes. I got what I consider to be an absolute steal on a mk1 200mm f2.8, the one with the built-in hood. Same optics as the mk2, just more convenient. It was 18 years old and looks like it just came out of the factory. Amazing.

MPB are my first port of call when I'm looking for gear. I think that rather says it all about the company. The equipment from Matt ushered me into my DSLR era and then when I decided to turn my hobby into a profession, I looked to the first professional supplier I knew. You can buy from and sell to MPB with confidence
