MPA wedding photography winning photo

Shots like that are the reason I don't join 'professional' bodies. I really, really don't get it, maybe I'm just turning into a grumpy old man after a busy week but that shot does not have any redeeming qualities.

A wedding photograph? Pffft. A winning wedding photograph? Double pffft.

I couldn't even say if the idea was done badly as I haven't got a clue what the idea is in the first place.

What a joke!

I giggled, but it's utter crap.
The photo is rubbish.
The joke is mediocre.
It doesn't even fit into the wedding photography catagory.

And this guy won prize money for that picture? I feel ill.
 
I'd imagine the award will be for a body of work, rather than a single photograph. The one posted above is a bit poor, but he has some great images on his website.

edit: seriously, a swear filter?

It's not even a technically good photo - crooked.
Then I looked a the thempa link - the commercial one has only a very loose basis in photography - most if it is digital manipulation.
Crock.
 
I like the part of the website - "why use an MPA photographer?"

Obviously to get pictures of petrol stations whilst your getting married..........
