right some of your questions will be .

how much do i want to spend .. about 50 quid " each"

what spec

not sure id like it to have around 3-5 hrs video time
something like 40gb - 80gb

im looking at the moment but if someone can point me in a certain direction that would be great...

md:thumbs:

Ok - I'm good with modern technology, so...

North - that's a 'certain direction' for sure, you could try East or West too (ignore South - Southerners live there)

'what spec'
- Boots Opticians (odd question where we buy our glasses??!!!)

40 or 80 Great Britains indeed - you old Nationalist you - good on yer m8

BTW - What's an MP3 player?

MD, you do know you are not going to get what you're looking for, for £50 each?! Right? Unless its 2nd hand off e-bay...

Fab insult MD - good stuff

Seriously though, no idea on MP3 stuff - I only ever find out what stuff means when I need to buy it, never needed an MP3 (or Walkman for that matter)

(Summons up a cloud with the wave of his fingers and leaves this discussion behind!!)

For £50 you're not going to get anywhere near 40GB. You're going to struggle to get anything worthwhile with video at that price point too. You can get 4GB players for that kind of price but they're all Sumvision - not the greatest brand in the world.

If you step down to 2GB you start seeing brands like Samsung, Creative and *spit* Sony which will be much better ... click

DAP Review is the place to find out what's what.

cheers bod very usefull link..

its not worth spending to much on the things as they will only leave it at mates or lose them..

but ill give them the chance ..

md:thumbs:

thanks again

MS Zune players are cheap, and they can't be that bad, so maybe one of those? :)

TBH you really want an IPod, at the start i was just like '' there just over rated 'trendy' mp3 players'' but they can give great sound quality. Another point i know alot of people with zens and they keep on telling me that they have to get them repaired ect ect. I dont have an IPod but if i could get one i would.

You can get a 30GB brown zune on ebay for ~£90, as nobody seems to want them. That would be your best bet, but it's slightly more than you said.

My cousin has had his ipod repaired about 5 times. No MP3 player is immune to failure, and iPods are no different.

Not saying they are but from what ive heard zens have more problems

I got Dan a Creative Zen V Plus for his birthday. Only 2 gig but does the job, has FM radio, can put pics and videos (albeit small ones) on there and tons of songs. Cost me £85 from Argos

Sussed it m8 :thumbs::thumbs::thumbs:

I made myself one this afternoon... got an old matchbox and painted it white. Two white shoe-laces stuck in either side, with the other ends stuck in my ears with chewing gum (white of course). Then to convince everyone the volume was turned up full, I walked down the street singing badly out of tune and humming a fair bit, added to walking into the road without looking and jumping back surprised as a car screeched to a halt nearby

For added 'cool'... I've been wearing my baggy jeans around my knees and although it's freezing outside I've been going about in a t-shirt - with a woolly hat on; and of course I have a bottle (plastic) of White Lightning Cider to hand - which I drink while riding a 3 yr old's (well it's bloody small!) BMX with no brakes/bell/lights at night

Am I cool or what???

And you youngsters thought you'd got one over on me... pah - life in the old dog as they say :nuts::nuts:

lmfao, DD, they let you out...again?

Hey Dave - you can't beat the iPod, simple as. OK, it's a little more expensive than some of its competition, but it is still the best in class. There's a range of them to choose from now too, all available on the Apple Store with video on the Nano from £99.

Awww bless... thank you. Did he come from down your way...?
