My current version in 102.2.2 and is shown (in the About section) as being up to date. The latest version is actually 102.3.

However, I get a pop up notice saying:-
"Thunderbird cannot update to the latest version. Download a fresh copy of Thunderbird and we'll help you install it."

Sounds a bit like the dreaded caller at the door saying he is from the council and he is here to help !

Any kind soul care to to offer information on what is involved with this Download PLUS help to install it.

I fear some sort of SNAFU scenario developing. If that is a risk then I'd sooner uninstall Thunderbird and start afresh with a clean installation.

Just for reference. I have just checked mine, and updated without issue. Running up to date Windows 11, if that helps at all.
 
Yes - I have this problem:

I tried to update twice, but still get the message.
I surmise that because I'm too tight to give a donation, the message will continue to appear.

102.3.0 (64-bit)
I am on all ok
 
102.3.0 ( 64 bit) updated automatically when I opened it, 21/09/22

(W7)
 
Also 102.3.0 updated automatically and also W7 and yes, I am for real.
 
Just checked mine - 105.0.1

Although I primarily use Chrome these days.

As of January 14, 2020, PCs running Windows 7 no longer receive security updates.
you know this right?

By adding W7 to my post, I knew that someone would state the bleeding obvious, and yes my money was on you (y).

Oh just to save you worrying, any further, there is nothing of any importance on that machine,
sensitive stuff is on W10 machine that keeps updating to W11 which btw I hate with a vengeance.

But thanks for your concern :)
