Moving lightroom images from one pc to another

Hi,

I've an old laptop with some LR3 processed images on, i'd like them to be moved into my LR4 installation on my PC.

How do i do this so the processing applied is retained once they move across ?

I don`t know

But if it`s not many images I would think about saving the treatments as presets, exporting the presets, importing them into the other computer and just reapplying the presets to the images again in the other machine.
Always assuming the LR3 presets are compatible with LR4.
But I wouldn`t know about that.

Probably need to export the catalogue or something like that. I'm not sure though not really an expert.
