After years having my mobile phone contract with Three, I am considering moving to Vodafone.

I have no experience of Vodafone. What's your opinion on that network. I am mainly using mobile data.

Thanks

I guess coverage is very location specific, but your phone should list available networks & usually lists them in order of strength - some phones always put your existing network at the top, though.

I find Vodafone have good customer service.

Edit: just goes to show how different two peoples experience can vary! (y)

Didn't Vodafone get fined a shed load of money because of their faulty billing system as well?

My own experience with Vodafone has been good. I think if you ask people about any network you will hear good and bad things.

Thirteen years. Never had a problem with Vodafone.

Never been on vodaphone myself but heard plenty of bad stories. Also, as mentioned above, I heard about them on the radio & online that they were fined for poor service.

I've been with three who were great, currently with 02 who have also been good in the couple of times I've felt with them.

As long as you don't need customer services, I'd stick with three.

My company phone is a Voda and it is garbage. Plus it's expensive.

I love three, that's why I have been with them for over 10 years

I was happy with Three until they tried to offer me the same deal as a first time customer.

There's plenty of alternatives out there these days if your sim free ,take a look at giff.gaff for one ,personally in our household we favour iD as it gives decent service at low low prices .but there are plenty of others out there .

If you rely on data a lot then giffgaff is poor. It's very slow and unreliable compared to even a cheap MVNO like plusnet.

It is very location specific, around me Vodafone is 100% useless whereas at my parents (in the countryside) Vodafone is the only one you can get a signal with.

However, my wife's work phone is Vodafone and based on her experiences with that I wouldn't use them unless I had to (like my parents).

In my experience across all the different networks (we have all of them covered) I would say EE is best by quite a way, then Three, and then O2 and Voda distant last. Sister networks (e.g. GiffGaff, Virgin etc) seem to follow the network performance they are on, not surprisingly.

I left Vodafone for O2 last year after several months of issues.
Their customer service was also probably the worst I've encountered.

Was with 3 for many years and good phone service, crappy customer service, only left as they were putting the price up mid term (as BT do !!) and were no longer best price, went to Tesco (O2) and have had no issues at all and on the couple of occasions I've contacted customer service, they have been excellent - and you can also pop in to Tesco store Phone shop and speak to them and they can also help...

The rule seems to be that the more a company specialise in communications, the worse their communication/customer service seems to be! Recently had dealings with CS for both EE and TalkTalk, both of whose CS departments are worse than useless. If the service wasn't so good (as in the service they provide rather than the CUSTOMER service), I would have switched provider. Hopefully I won't need to get Mrs Nod to speak with EE again and Mrs Nod's Mum won't need TT's CS department either. Gone are the days when you could go into a shop and actually speak to someone and get a problem sorted, although it sounds like you can with Tesco phone - at least where And(y?) lives!

Yes our local Tesco (Accrington) Extra store phone shop is very good and I've been in a couple of times with queries for myself or daughter and if they've not been able to answer or solve, they've phoned their technical / customer service and have sorted it out.

Oh and they advertise they do not and will not increase your costs during your contract period.

I am happy with Vodafone, I have been with them a good while now. I pay around £20 a month for a sim only plan (unlimited calling and 30Gb of UK internet) and have not had any problems. I simply call them at the end of the contract and they often give me a good enough deal to stay. Plus I get free Spotify with them, which is a nice touch.

I have had nothing but good experience with Vodafone.

Excellent for Europe travel also.

I get a decent discount.

Can get a signal in most places and i previously was with EE which was s***.

I left their crappy customer service & joined three mobile, very happy.:)

Been with Vodafone a few years now and never had any problem, had loads at Virgin mobile though, Vodafones coverage is by far the best for me as we go camping quite a lot and use my phone as our wifi hotspot.

What vodafone charge you and what you thought your charges would be based on the headlines in the contract you signed up for may well not be the same. I think that's why they were fined. I have phones with Ee and Vodafone. As soon as V contract is over, I'm out.
