Longstory short i want to move back to Canon again, Nikon was nice, i'm just not the biggest fna of the files that it outputs, plus the menus are stupid :P

MBP Can dierect swap my D100 for a 10D. Then i will sell my Nikon 50mm 1.8 for the Canon version.

Any massive issues i'm looking over?

Well the 10D is a very old body. It maybe worth spending extra and get a 40D.

Haha, An Extra 250 quid isn't going to happen. I Shot with a Canon 1d Mk1 for ages before this Nikon, and a 300D before that, i'm used to the old Bodys :)

I'd suggest moving up to the 50d or even the 7d if you can afford it. The 50d has so much more options and pixels....

If I recall correctly the 10D can't take EF-S lenses, so if that is a problem then perhaps consider something like a 20D or 350D. Otherwise I am sure you will be fine!

Don't need any more options, whats wrong with the ones on a 10D? And Pixel count means little, 6mp is more than enough to print up to A3 if i was going to..

Sounds like you have your mind made up.

I have i think hehe :P I just wanted to see if i had overlooked somthing major like, OMG Canon 10D isnt a camera is a Waffle Iron!

Or somthing that that..

If anyone knows of a camera that makes waffles, let me know...

This is true! Although wont' affect me as i like primes and there isn't any Ef-S ones :P

Yea there are.

Don't know about the 10D, but I bought a 20D as a second camera to my 50D.
It's a great camera! So I can only recommend a 20D from experience, but, just a tip, after the guys on this forum have opened their Christmas presents, the market may get swamped with low priced 20D's ! So hang on.
That's how I'm planning to get a budget 5D !! ;)

The 20D great. You could pick up a good example for between £150 and £225, I love mine, bought from new and is a definite jump up in technology from the 10D and for me personally could still hold its ground compared to the later bodies like the 30D/40D/50D/60D etc used it on my last trip to the Kruger National Park in SA, captured some fantastic shots with a 300mm f2.8 even stacked the 2x and 1.4x TC on that lens and the 20D coped very well and I was impressed with the results.

ef-s 60mm macro to name one prime in ef-s range.
However unless you're into macro I dont suppose that's a major issue as an 85 or a 100mm macro will do just as well.
10D - its ok, I have compared files against a 400 and a 50d and tbh I preferred the 10D, its a slow machine though, old processor etc, so it takes an age to fire up, ages to preview the shot and isnt lightening fast (at much really), but its a fine old camera, still have mine and if I'm going somewhere "dodgy" then I tend to take the old crate along.

A suggestion... Although you said the 10d had 6mp and it's not really an issue for you, it will if you have to crop and image or post production. But it sounds like you've made your choice. Good luck with the canon.

I'd have to say the 10d makes no sense to me... I know it's down to personal taste and the op likes the older bodies, but I think the 20d and above makes more sense as you can take advantage of the crop lenses, especially wide angles.

A 20d can be had for the same price as the 10d.

To back up my suggestion of a canon 20D, still using mine today after many years of use taking images like

any reason why you want to switch to canon 10D when you have a nikon d100 any existing lens?

If you like old you can probably upgrade your nikon body to something like a d200 or d80 or whatever and then buy lots of nikon manual lens and use them without a problem .....
