Sorry if its been asked before, but I've just ordered a new laptop as my old tosh is just not cutting it.

Not the best spec in the world but my pockets aren't the deepest either.

My main question is - is there a process I have to follow to deregister the Adobe products on the old laptop prior to re-installing on the new laptop.
Or can I just uninstall them and re-install on the new drive.
Also can I move the catalogue with the photos and point LR4 to it to keep all my work.

All help v much appreciated

in CS there is normally a "deactivate" option under the help menu.

LR i dont think has this.

yes.

move your catalogue and files to the new machine. open the catalogue in LR, if the path to the images has changed then just right click on each collection (they'll have "?" over them) and "find missing folder".

Neil is absolutely right... it is worth adding though that your license allows you to have Photoshop activated on two installations simultaneously so you don't need to deactivate from your old machine until the new one is up and running. Just remember to deactivate it on the old machine before you remove Photoshop or sell the machine on. As Neil said, LR doesn't need deactivation.
