Have you heard of Movember?

It's about raising awareness and money for male cancers.

It's about having fun throughout the month of November

Could you do your bit to raise money and awareness?

Participants to Movember globally start on November 1st clean-shaven and through the month grow, tend and sport a fantastic moustache. Just imagine what you can sport during that month!

Last year over £10 million quid was raised, you can be an integral part of raising that much money and helping to raise awareness!

For this year I am putting together a fine team of fine gentlemen to take part, and now is a great time for you to sign up to team (un)Smooth as well

Join our team now - http://mobro.co/smooth

The fine and lovely lady folk can take part as well as 'mo Sistas' - signing up for their own official accounts as they to have to put up with the lip caterpillars, and support their fine chaps. You can do it solo or you can join a team and support one another (either way you have your own page on Movember.com and chart your own progress). There is a free app for the iphone to take pictures and blog thoughts throughout too

More information about Movember can be found on the official website - http://uk.movember.com/about/ please check it out - it is a fantastic and unique way to raise awareness and money.

If you have friends/boyfriends/husbands/uncles/etc who you would like to take part with, please pass the links on. You don't have to join team (un)Smooth, but it would be fantastic to see lots of people taking part and supporting each other.

Are you up for some fun through November

Could you do your bit to raise money and awareness?

Join team (un)smooth today! - http://mobro.co/smooth

My wife would probably leave me if I shaved my face fungus off, even if it was for a good cause. I've had a full set for almost 30 years, although it has come off from time to time to let the skin breathe for a week or so - razor rash is a beeeatch though!

This was mine from last year, and only started on the 13th as I had a wedding on the 12th:

Will be taking part again with the work group, best of luck to anyone that signs up here :)

It is immense sir. I remember seeing it during last years Movember and plotting it as a possible for this year.

I am sorely tempted though, to stock up on wax and go for the full on twisted handlebars this year.

Good luck to you sir. Keep us updated in this thread?

BUMPSKI! Registrations on the site have just opened!

If anyone fancies doing it for the first time, check out our team - http://mobro.co/smooth

I'll make a donation, but no Facebook and no facial hair thanks!

Hi All,

I have joined a team at work for Movember. This is a charity fund-raiser where I (and other members of my team at work) have to grow a moustache for November. At great risk to myself (the wife hates moustaches) I have agreed to take part...

Why? Well, it's in support of men's health issues, particularly prostate and testicular cancer. The aim is to raise money for those causes.

If you would like to know more, check out my MoSpace at http://mobro.co/cmansell where you can donate if you want to (make sure the donation is to my name. :) )

I intend to shoot a photo of myself each day in Movember to show the progress of the offending hairy growth!

Thanks guys.

Craig

PS: Look for this picture to know you are in the right space:

I am unable to grow a 'tache - I've had one for about 30 years and my wife would be cross if I shaved it off!

BTW, I think you mean Prostate cancer rather than prostrate- here's hoping that nobody here developd either.

I think you are right...a slip of the finger turns prostate into prostrate! :)

My wife is not happy about me growing one, she doesn't like them at all, but it's a good cause, so worth a go. :)

check out smoothedit on here......... he is organising a TP one.

5 days left till Mo - and they have just released this years awesome iphone app. Superb stuff - lets you post to your mospace, check donations, sen donation/awareness requests, and even get style tips for the different Mo's!

Its all for such a fantastic cause guys - even if you dont fancy badgering people for money, just take part for the awareness.

Oo and if you think Marcel, Matty, Brian and the rest of the team would look most dapper with a Mo, say so here as they would love to take part (I am sure!). :naughty:

Thanks

Most definitely - do you think cobra's would be pink ? (cant see it suiting Yv as a look though)

Definitely pink. Dyed if not.... I hear he will do anything for the ladies....

Started my team tonite. I am so far from being able to grow a 'tache that I see it as my duty to at least grow the start of an 'adolf'.:)

Day 1...start with a freshly shaven chin...

Movember 1st by http://bendthelight.me.uk, on Flickr

Please visit my mobro page at http://mobro.co/cmansell to support us. Support with a message, or support with a donation...you will be supporting good Men's Health causes, with proceeds going to raise awareness of, and funding for research into Prostate and Testicular Cancer.

Thanks

Craig

Come on then .... let's see the facial hair

Micky Flanagan!

Not grown specially for the cause but <---------------------------

Ladies can become Mo-Sisters

LOL call yourself Men and you cant grow a tache.

Just joking, I hate shaving with a passion but can grow a decent beard and tache in about 10 days.

Good luck with the fundraising, all you have to do now is change the way they deal with male problems and stop being shy.

It is possible to join or just support your friends that are doing it...last year some ladies I know did it with stick on moustaches. :)

Lol plenty of ladies could grow a better tash than me!

I would like to ask the mods if it possible to post my Movember donation page?

No worries Tom you can still join the team if you fancy - we would love to have you!

If anyone else fancies it - get yourself registered and shaved by 2359 tonight!

www.mobro.co/smooth and click 'Join Team' :)

Rules state you have to be clean shaven on the first of Movember and then nurture a Mo thrroughout the month :)

I've merged all the threads into the main one that Smooth has done. I've also stickied it.

Good luck everyone, you're doing it for a great cause. My Grandad suffered from Prostate Cancer

I'm happy to be a mo-sister if you can sort that out for me :D

Loving the blog page Tom, very good
