I use photoshop CC and have been watching tutorials on YouTube and Adobe

Some people use a pen as opposed to a mouse when editing- anyone have any details of what type make etc
I could buy to facilitate this for myself? Or I'm thinking I may need the pen tablet!

use a Desktop PC and a 17" laptop running Photoshop CC both via Windows

Thanks in advance

Les :)

We have and use an older ( 6yo)
Wacom Intuos 4… cool stuff! (y)

As others have said Wacom are the usual ones, I had one and could not get on with it.
See if you can try before you buy or at least return it if you don't like it

Had an ancient Wacom for more years than I can remember and will soon be getting a new one due to a massive computer upgrade. They take a bit of getting used to but can't be beaten for masking etc. I find myself using a combination of mouse and pen as some things I find easier with the mouse and some are easier with the pen.

I intend to use it for select and mask on PS CC- for composite images like this one - had a play with :) only a few minutes but I do think Masking would be easier with a pen

I'd recommend Wacom too - I've been using them on and off for over 17 years!
I ordered the Intuos small Draw for my daughter which comes with Art Rage. They have various other packages with varying software or not.
You don't need a massive tablet as you zoom in and out so you only really need a pen stroke length at any time.

I've got the small Art on my Christmas list. As far as I can see all the tablets are the same bar the colour, it's just the bundled software which is different. I want the new version of Corel Painter which comes with the Art as I use it for my astronomical sketching. I've never felt I needed a larger tablet - on the contrary I think for me at least a larger one would be more difficult to use.

Les, I have a Wacom Intuos CTH 480 that I've never used, couldn't get on with it, you are more then welcome to it
if you want to try before you buy
Just PM me your address and it's yours
