Mounting negs and slides

I have some odd-sized negs (and a few slides) for which I need to make up a mount before scanning. When I used to put in negs/slides for printing, they would sometimes come back with a taped card/paper edge - I presume that was used to mount them for printing (though the tape seemed very sticky, and some, when aged, cracked/tore). Is there any particular paper/card and tape used for that purpose that I can adapt for scanning.

I'm guessing you mean film sizes that aren't 35mm or medium format? You know which formats they are, and what scanner are you using?

I had to scan a load of 110 sized negatives (dear god this format sucks!) but obviously had no holder for them so i made one from black card which you can buy cheap in WHSmith or Staples, that fit in the medium format holder for my Epson V500. Far from perfect but did the job.

I had some plastic slide mounts and put the 110 film in them. Worked well, but obviously I had to cut the negatives into single frames and will only work for negatives smaller than 35mm.
