Have just joined a Camera Club and one of the things I am going to need to enter their comps is Mounting Card! Where is the best place to buy this? Saw one site selling 10 @ 20 x 16 for about £19. Is this the norm or do you folks know where they can be bought cheaper?

Hi Gary and welcome!

I needed to buy some recently and got them off eBay. Used a seller called musicandmovieicons as recommended by another member on here, Maria.

Search for recent posts by me from my profile and you will find the article (using iPad for this reply so don't know how to link it).

I got 20 12x16 kits, board, frame and bag, for £29 delivered. This was the size I needed for A4 prints. Lots of options on their eBay store.

Hope this helps,

Tracey

WOW what an expensive way to buy card.

I cut my own from sheets, using a mount cutter, have you allowed for this cost for entries.

Find a picture framers, there is a card artist suppliers in Callington Cornwall, where I go, they also supply by post, 10 sheets of any card in over 200+ colours, which allow me four 500mm x 400mm mounts are just £3.50 a sheet that is a mount large enough for A3+ and large border for 88p, and thet is quality mounting card, I use black with cream core colourmount 372 and off white matt on one side and texture on the other.

This is the best place I have found, they supply everything.
