Not sure if this is the correct thickness you require, but spotted this on ebay:

I have used the larger pieces at 5mm thickness for mounting photo posters of 75mm x 50mm which I have had produced at Snapfish. These prices were the best that i found locally (they are based in Blackpool). You have to buy in boxes of 5 or 10 sheets but still cheaper than you have found and plenty left for the future. There must be similar supplier in other parts of the country.

I've sent a question to the ebay man, hopefully if he does ivory or cream it will solve my (and my colleagues) problems.
I've tried hobbycraft - yes, they have what I want, but don't cut it to size and I'm not confident I'll make a good job of it

our tutor doesn't want us to use foam board - I think because of the shineyness and because it's white, but thanks for the thought
