huge thanks

i live very local to lydden

are there big fences at lydden can if i take a small ladder will i see over the fence to take photos

and how about brands hatch is there any where i can take photos from
without a fence in the way

No big fences to report and on a track day you are not rubbing elbows with other togs which is good. Pm me if you plan a visit and i will meet you there :)

ok thanks for the info paul,
if i go i will let you know
will be great to meet up

you been there before if so you have any photo

Check my threads bud. Cannot link via phone im afraid. Thread title will mention lydden hill so will be easy to find them.

great photos mate,

you still do football photography,
i used to be herne bay fc photographer,
also have a conference licence to do dover,

i will try to get to lyyden hill next weekend my car is of the road so have to ask my dad,
i am 39 and still have to ask dad lol

Havent done much football lately, been doing horsey stuff. Where are you based? May be able to pick you up if you get stuck for transport.

i live in hersden near canterbury,
i should be ok,
just need to sweet talk my dad lol,

so is there no fence's at lydden hill or small fences never been there before,
i remember barbagello raceway in perth australia was great only had little fence so just took a little ladder

Only wire fences nothing solid. The wire is big enough to pop your lens through if your very short or prefer sitting. The fence tops are wood so provide a bit of comfort to rest on.

i am very short
lol

As long your over 5 foot youll be fine, i go there most weekends, didnt relise there was anything on next week so glad i read this thread, if you cant get a lift you can get the bus to folkestone from canterbury and its a 15 minute walk from broome park.

what time does the track day start
and how much is it to get in

if its a trackday then its free and should be open around 08.30 until around 16.30hrs. Dont forget some money for a burger and chip lunch.

Just checked and it is a motorcycle trackday.

Trackday start at 9 and finish around 5-6, if hes there keep an eye out for Viagra Bob ex british supersport champion, he rides a GSXR and is absolutely nuts popping wheelies and sliding his back wheel into corners.

Heres a few of my pics from Lydden Hill, think most of those are shot with a 55-250 with the more recent ones taken on a 70-200.

Hi, There are some good spots at Brands, the inside of the Druids hairpin, no fence around the apex, and you are only 20 feet from the track, or down the hill towards Graham Hill bend. I usually shoot from here, the outside of Druids is fenced but I shoot through it reasonably sucessfully (Canon 40D with Canon 70-300mm F4-5.6 IS USM) There are some areas around Paddock Hill bend that you can shoot over the fence.

Have a look at my posts Vee Fest Vanilla shots, taken on the inside of Druids, and Formula Ford Festival all through the outside though the fence.

Hope this helps.

Cheers,

Rod.

Also track days during the week. Il be there on Wednesday for the GP loop.

Whenever I've been to track days you can get up on the pitwall which is somewhere I'd never be able to get for a public event. That is with a drivers band on though so I'm not sure if you'd have to be running a car there to get over the pit lane...

Still at track days your not going to be having to fight for good positions like if you're at btc or bsb.

Pits are open at brands for anyone for all events accept for bsb dtm and a couple of others.
For Bemsee during their practices in the morning you can get up on the pitwall, just al long as your not in their way they dont mind.
