MotoGP last year was unavailable except via subscription (unlike WSBK!). Looks to be the same this year I'm afraid. Shame really, as you don't get the practice and qualifying on TV so unless you subscribe it's just not available to watch!

So its not even going to appear on BBC3 online then... like it says it will...

Damn Im so gutted..I even avoided the highlights last night ... ffs. :bang::gag::(

MotoGP are VERY picky over their viewing rights, so I'm not sure if the BBC will be able to show it or not. (After all, if you have to pay to watch via the MotoGP website then having it on iPlayer undermines that source of income!) I've got my fingers crossed that it will be available and they've just not put it up yet!

I know a site where you can download races. PM me if your interested, its nothing illegal.

Or if you have freeview put channel 301 on, its replaying the race as i type.

You have a PM Dan ... nice one.

cleared now ...

I fear your right Syx .... I've also heard the highlights are repeated again tonight on bbc2 ...or bbc3 on TV, nor sure, around midnight I think...still looking for that one..

Better than nothing...

Why running a highlight programe on a BBC channell is no different to the Iplayer. Check out the red button service it was on there as repeat at one point.

Motogp want you to sign up to there site.

moto gp was cancelled due to rain well the main race was ie rossi /toesland

125 and 250 run as normal

They ran the GP race on Monday evening. Forbiddenbiker, not wanting to be a spoiler but you're really not missing much. An exciting GP it isnt'.

I'm sure we recorded it from the red button on BBC1. Could be wrong. I'll wake Hubby and ask.

Seen it!:woot: ...The full race its now on bbc three online.

Cancelled on Sunday, so not availble on Monday on bbci .... race run on Monday instead ...so available 24 hours later on bbc1...woot, good old bbc.

Looks like another year of Stoner and Rossie at the front, pure class both of them... my moneys on Rossie, I'd be daft not to eh.

Edwards came fourth too ... I wonder if we'll see him shine this year...

Or just stoner, bearing mind those tyres there using this year where originally designed specifically for the Duc. So the Yaham's of Rossi and co will have to adapt there bikes to them (i know Rossi was on Bridgestone last year, but they werent the same construction as the Stoner Duc tyres)

Is that right, hmmm gonna be a crap season if Stoner always has the advantage.

To me the speeds of the two weren’t much different throughout the race, remembering that circuit is very heavy on tyres, probably the worst of the season. But Rossie pushed his tyres and got faster lap times than stoner, but then ruined them a little in doing so..but then still managed to maintain pace. I’m thinking if it wasn't for Rossies bad start would stoner still have won?

It was a boring race after watching the rerun of leguna Seca last year before the start of it

none the less, good rides by some, Stoner, Rossi, Lorenzo and even Hayden after his huge crash in Quali

should be an interesting season and Valentino needs to be on the frnt row every race to at least have a chance of catching Stoner, he looks unbeatable on the Ducati at present

I was so looking forward to this race. A procession in the end though :0(

The British Superbikes from Brands was much more exciting and there has been some good action in the World Superbikes already, especially with lots of Brits in there now :0)

You spotted its on bbci 3 yes, whitewash? for a few more days anyhow..

Yeah, we've seen him do that in responce to stoners fast pace consitantancies before ... I'll bet we'll see him attack from the first corner to the last next race... woot, fingercrossed... blimey I love the race season.

Looking forward to the Irish and Isle of man road races this year too, TV coverage was stunning last year, especially the North West 200...great views down from a helicopter watching 4 riders slip steaming each at 180mph before braking into narrow teft turns... mind the 'give way' chevrons.lol Rutter's riding it again this year I think..

Is that showing online for free anywhere do you know Murph?

I don’t think stoner would run away with it.

O by the way is the moto gp still on at donington this year with them losing there licence or something.

I don't know Marko, if it not DP where would it be Brands Hatch maybe....

Slightly easier to think Rossier would run away with it eh... :D

i hadnt looked on their tbh, i watched the original time slot but i already know the result for the re-run and its not that exciting once you know who won!

Sure... still, I find the getting their still holds a fascination for me.

I'm not too sure about the online thing I'm afraid fella. I've been watching the action on Eurosport on Sky so far, they also have full coverage of Moto GP along with the beeb.

Donington is definitely still the GP circuit this year, I think there is talk of Silverstone the year after though.

Practice and qualifying are both shown live on Eurosport for all 3 classes, as are the 125's and 250's the moto gp are delayed by an hour.

They should be playing it on the bbc iplayer thing or so they say, we turned the bbc coverage off as it was pants and waited for eurosport to show it, so im not even looking on the site.

As for the moto gp site they seem to want to charge for everything.

I would like to see Stoner and Rossi on the same bikes for a season.
I don’t think stoner would run away with it.

If they were on the same bike there would be a bigger difference, both on the Fiat Yamaha Rossi would walk away with it, if on the Ducati Stoner would run away with it, Bikes are completely different and riders ahve different styles so it wouldn't make a different IMO

Stoner said after the race that he had to back the fuel map's during the race though concerns of running out of fuel, once Rossi strted speeding up Stoner up'd gain pulled 0.5 of a sec in one lap then they both seemed to back of after that.

I don't know anything about these changes? ...seems blinking daft though, Donnington IS the best UK track for MotoGP by far I'd say, craner curves etc, takes real skill and fast as heck, whats silverstone got compared to that!? ...better grandstands and a tunnel... :gag: ;)

Hmmm, interesting and good to know (as a Rossi fan) ... I also heard Stoner say theyd found some adjustments that very morning for that track and dialed them in to great sucess... seems thay had all their eggs in one basket for that track, inevitably it will not be so easy to do that for every race.

Donington is supposed to be having the MotoGP this year, but Silverstone has it for next, apperently there are some changes planned for Silverstone in terms of creating an elevation change to be add etc. Question is will there be any racing at Donington this year? particularly as a report has mentioned that a bank has pulled there support 'due to the economic climate. What ever that means

The Stoner, tyre thing was mentioned on Eurosport, not sure about BCC as i havent seen there coverage.

Ah I see, that old excuse then... Plenty of racing booked from may onwards, tickets are being sold I think.... I guess there waiting for someone to fill the void before next season, during this seasons racing.

Lol, I thinks its a bit like the environmental climate problem only much easier to sell to the general public. ;)

Donington has the MotoGP his year, My hotel is booked, just awaiting tickets now, its off to Sivlerstone next year and after there changes will make silverstone the fastest bike circuit on the MotoGP calendar, changes look quite good aswell

Only when/if they get a FIA license to hold it, which they dont at present. They seem to bo confident of making changes to the run of where a new tunnell has been built. Fingers crossed it will work out ok, but there has been a number races postoned/cancelled, even though tickets where available to buy.

The revised Silverstone layout will be the fast circuit on the calendar, with an average speed 3mph higher than Philip Island. I think it's good that MotoGP has gone to Silverstone. Donington is a better track from a riders point of view, but Silverstone will generate better racing, and is much more able to cope with 100,000 spectators.

Put it this way, I'd never consider going to MotoGP at Donington, because of the sheer number of people and lack of viewing options when that many fans are there (I've been to Donington for plenty of other events I should add, and I hate to see it in it's current state), but I'd definetely go for the weekend at Silverstone.
