Motion and Lightning Sensor

Looks like an interesting piece of kit.

I have zero experience of it, but I noticed this in the write up "The lightning mode has a 0.1millisecond response time."

That may not always be fast enough. Lightning bolts last for a few micro seconds although there is often several of them so close together that the human eye sees them all as one. (Also humans perceive lightning bolts as lasting much longer than a a few millionths of a second because the brightness of the light over stimulates the retina causing there to be a residual image, i.e. the brain is seeing something that is no longer there). I don't think that camera sensors will do that.

Maybe getting lightning pics with that kit will still need a bit of luck. Just like leaving the shutter open for a while does.

If you buy it let us know how it performs. If it works for moving subjects like birds etc. it could prove very handy.

Thanks for that, appreciated.

I'll let you know how it goes, if, sorry, when, I get one ☺

Hi, I have seen something that's just come out and another make is about to debut, sorry I don't remember the name of them. Have a search.
